Nick Cave's Grinderman band podcasts writing sessionsPosted on 02/03/07
With the imminent official release of the selftitled debut album by Nick Cave's newest band Grinderman, the band also launched the official Grinderman website at www.grinderman.com . Amongst other things, the website includes The Grinderman Podcast featuring a series of fragments of recordings from the band's writing sessions. These will not be complete songs but will instead offer a unique insight into the workings of the band. New episodes will appear regularly over the coming weeks. Also added are individual pages for each song on the album featuring Nick's hand written lyrics. Grinderman are Nick Cave (vocals, electric guitar, organ, piano), Warren Ellis (electric bouzouki, Fendocastor, violin, viola, acoustic guitar, backing vocals), Martyn P. Casey (bass, acoustic guitar, backing vocals) and Jim Sclavunos (drums, percussion, backing vocals); all members of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Two songs from the upcoming album can also be heard on band's MySpace page. These songs are "No Pussy Blues" and "Get It On", which was released as a single on 8 January 2007.
