Turaj releases solo EP 'The Gift Away'
Andrzej Turaj, known from the Polish acts God’s Own Medicine and Hidden By Ivy, has released a new solo EP under his Turaj moniker titled ‘The Gift Away‘. The EP is available now, and offers synth-pop reinterpretations of two previously released tracks from the full-length solo album “Dunellen“.
The tracklist includes:
- “Away – remix”
- “The Gift – remix”
Both songs were written, performed, produced, and recorded by Andrzej Turaj, who handled vocals, lyrics, and instrumentation. Mixing and mastering were done by Wojciech “Mindheal” Stecko, while visuals and graphic design were created by Ela Szustakowska.

About Turaj
Andrzej ‘Andy’ Turaj is a Polish musician known for his work with the bands God’s Own Medicine and Hidden By Ivy. He currently releases music under the solo name Turaj. In early 2025, he released the album “Dunellen”, named after a small town in New Jersey. Turaj described the album as “an emotional and contextual space for a narrative about the passage of time, nostalgia for what has been lost—people, moments, and stories that, despite the years, still evoke strong emotions and shape who we are.”
“Dunellen” contains nine tracks and blends sounds of the ’80s and ’90s, merging post-punk rock with gothic elements and, as Turaj noted, “a bit more guitar than usual.” The album was introduced by the singles “A Lifetime Chicken Code” and “Beautiful”, released in February 2025. It is available on CD and streaming platforms.

Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, I’m all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil.
