Sun Atoms release the two-track “Narco Polo Remixes”, featuring Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock, on Little Cloud Records on June 26, 2026. The remixes rework the Portland band’s 2024 single “Narco Polo” and precede a run of dates supporting Modest Mouse across the United States and Canada in July and August 2026.
The “Narco Polo Remixes” collect two new versions of “Narco Polo,” the track Sun Atoms recorded with Isaac Brock for their second album “Everything Forever.” June Kang produced “Narco Polo (JunN RemiX),” and Peter G. Holmström produced “Narco Polo (NRC RMX),” which comes with a new video directed by Brady Tucson. Both reworks were produced and mixed by Holmström and Kang at Air Traffic Control and mastered by Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound. Side-Line covered the original “Narco Polo” single in October 2024.
June Kang described his approach to the rework: “Lately I’ve been super into slower tempo remixes and trying to keep it groovy but at lower than 100 BPM. Always being somewhat of a bass head, I tend to go heavy-handed on the low end and kick sounds. Once I got the kick and bass gelling together, the rest of it was playing with samplers, sequencers, and my favorite Korg MS20 to keep the groove in place. Isaac’s voice was too fun to cut up, and Jsun always lets me go over the top with his vocal effects. I had too much fun with this remix.”

About Sun Atoms
Sun Atoms is the project of Portland, Oregon musician Jsun Atoms, who also leads The Upsidedown and Daydream Machine. The music draws on psychedelic rock, post-punk and shoegaze. Sun Atoms released the debut album “Let There Be Light” in 2021 through Little Cloud Records, produced by Peter G. Holmström of The Dandy Warhols and mixed by Stephen Street, and followed it with the single “Take This Love” in 2024. The second album “Everything Forever” arrived on November 8, 2024, again on Little Cloud Records, featuring Isaac Brock and including “Narco Polo.” Holmström also records as Pete International Airport, whose “Tic Tac” video appeared on Side-Line in 2023. The “Narco Polo Remixes” extend the band’s work with Isaac Brock as Sun Atoms head out on tour with Modest Mouse.
