Spark! to drop new album 'Cirkeln Är Sluten' on Progress Productions
Swedish EBM formation Spark! will release their new album “Cirkeln Är Sluten” on August 15, 2025, via Progress Productions. The release marks the band’s seventh full-length album and features the original lineup of Mattias Ziessow and Stefan Brorsson.
The album will be available in two formats: a special limited-edition splatter LP and a regular CD. The limited LP edition is pressed on heavy 180g crystal clear/blue/black splatter vinyl, limited to 300 copies. The CD edition comes in a standard jewel case with a booklet.
Spark! describe “Cirkeln Är Sluten” as a return to their roots while continuing to evolve their sound. The album features a blend of classic body music beats and melodic electronic elements, a style that has defined Spark! since their debut “65 Ton Stål” in 2007.
An audio-only version of “Vi är två mot en miljon” is available below.
About Spark!
Spark! was founded in 2007 in Sweden by Mattias Ziessow and Stefan Brorsson. The duo quickly gained recognition in the EBM and body music scene with their debut “65 Ton Stål.” Known for combining hard-hitting electronic body music with melodic synth layers, they became a staple at festivals such as WGT, Amphi, Bodyfest, NCN, E-tropolis, ElectriXmas, and E-Only.
Their early releases, including “Ett Lejon I Dig” and “Hela Din Värld,” established their signature sound, distributed independently and later via Progress Productions. Over the years, Spark! released six full-length albums.
As of 2025, the original lineup remains intact, with Mattias Ziessow and Stefan Brorsson continuing to lead the project.

Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
