Mattias Ziessow and Stefan Brorsson released their debut album 18 years ago. What followed was nothing short of evolution, and the Swedish duo now returns with their seventh opus — a collection of 10 powerful EBM tracks.
Spark! stands for old-school EBM, blending a touch of Electro-Punk into their hard, relentless style while also embracing subtle Pop influences. Yet, the music remains driven by aggressive basslines, pounding rhythms, and Swedish vocals. The 10 tracks race by at breakneck speed, with several true standouts along the way.
This band is a well-oiled machine that knows exactly what good EBM should sound like. Spark! never disappoints and continues to do what it does best: deliver Swedish EBM with full horsepower! (Rating:8).
