A new Depeche Mode track is featured in the closing credits of their latest documentary, “Depeche Mode: M”, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday evening. The film captures the band’s performances in Mexico City during their 2023 Memento Mori tour.

The unreleased song titled “In The End” plays during the end credits of the film. The track is one of four outtakes recorded during the Memento Mori sessions but not included in the final album tracklist. While Depeche Mode or Columbia Records have not issued an official statement confirming the track’s title, speculation is of course that it could accompany the documentary’s eventual soundtrack release.

“Depeche Mode: M” was directed by Mexican filmmaker Fernando Frias. The film captures Depeche Mode’s three sold-out performances at Mexico City’s Foro Sol Stadium on September 21, 23, and 25, 2023, during their ‘Memento Mori’ world tour, which drew an estimated 200,000 fans in Mexico City alone. It is set for a theatrical release in late 2025, with a world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 5, 2025, yesterday that was.

Below is some more footage from yesterday.

Depeche Mode’s Memento Mori, released in March 2023, was the band’s fifteenth studio album and the first since the death of founding member Andy Fletcher in 2022. It was supported by a global tour throughout 2023 and 2024.
