Here’s a project you might not expect to see on Side-Line, yet its strong industrial elements make it a fitting inclusion. Italian-American horror rap artist Vlad T. Addams has released his new single, “Haunted Frequencies”, taken from his upcoming full-length album, “The Killer Clown”. The album is scheduled for release on 21 July 2025 via Zona 167 and will be distributed worldwide through The Circle Music.

Pre-orders for the album are open through The Circle Music, with digital pre-saves available via Zona 167.

“Haunted Frequencies” blends drum and bass with darkly humorous lyrics, the typical Vlad T. Addams style that is. The track closes the 14-song album and sets the tone for a release that fuses horror, hip hop, grime, and industrial elements.

Commenting on the album’s direction, Vlad T. Addams explains: “When we finished recording our first album we stopped for a week, normally we would have started promoting the album, in the sense of looking for a label, but instead we continued recording other songs that I had in mind and it was like starting all over again. The debut came out exactly as we wanted and it seemed perfect in its own way, but I wasn’t convinced that we had expressed everything exactly, with the idea of making a ‘dark’ album we closed off many possibilities and discarded many things. With ‘The Killer Clown’ I wanted to write something catchier, very rhythmic without breaks, undoubtedly a more incisive and complete work, and our producer decided to launch our second album on the market first.”

He adds: “When the project was born I had no reference other than Mr. Hyde (USA), so we didn’t copy anyone and by doing an online search on horror/rap bands I noticed that they are all oriented towards the standard sound of the genre, they don’t have any ‘industrial’ attitude and they probably never listened to an industrial, esoteric or black metal records. For this reason we are dirtier than others. Our intros testify to this, they are all mini soundtracks and our music has something really dark inside, with all its ironic and cinematic nuances.”
