Infinite Fog Productions will release a limited edition 5CD boxset of “Air – The Complete Collection”, the first full reissue of Pete Namlook’s iconic “Air” series. The box includes all five volumes originally released between 1993 and 2006. The set arrives in a deluxe soft-touch case with spot varnish finish. The boxset will be available from June 13, 2025.

Originally recorded in Hödeshof, Germany, the “Air” albums blend ambient, jazz, neoclassical, world, and electronic styles, incorporating ethereal vocals, field recordings, and instrumental textures.

The release follows the 2024 boxset edition of Namlook’s “Psychonavigation” series, also issued by Infinite Fog.

Boxset contents:

  • CD 1: “Air I – You” (1993)
The foundational release in the series, featuring French female vocals and drifting ambient textures.
  • CD 2: “Air II – Travelling Without Moving” (1994)
Composed of eleven untitled segments, this album transitions from zero to 130 BPM using live percussion and spatial recordings.
  • CD 3: “Air III – Secret Heritage” (1996)
Expands the sonic palette with ethnic instrumentation, piano, strings, and Eastern melodic influences.
  • CD 4: “Air IV – Elle A Du Shell” (1999)
An eclectic blend of Caribbean jazz, bebop, ambient, and space trance.
  • CD 5: “Air V – Jeux Dangereux” (2006)
The final volume explores themes of light, loss, and farewell.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
