The esoteric industrial-metal collective Organist has released a new remix and video for their debut single “Thank God We Die”, reimagined by German synthpop veterans Beborn Beton. The new single and video are out today via Corpse Paint Records and merge Organist’s cinematic sound with Beborn Beton’s electronic touch.

The video, directed and produced by the band, portrays a mourning ritual through which a woman attempts to transcend death and reunite with her lost soulmate. Ziv A. Kowarsky explains: “‘Thank God We Die’ is a spectacular song about love and loss. I’m personally overjoyed that, as a fan of music, I was able to play a role in helping bring this art into the world.”

The remix, titled “Acacia Dream Boat Remix,” transforms the original’s ritualistic tone into a melodic and beat-driven reinterpretation. “I’ve been a fan of Beborn Beton’s sound for a long time now, and I feel like they were such a natural fit for remixing our single,” says Organist producer and composer Billy Hepper. “I’m so blown away by their interpretation of ‘Thank God We Die,’ and I hope we have more opportunities to collaborate.”

Beborn Beton frontman Stefan Netschio was more than glad to work on the material so he says: “I felt so lucky to have been asked to remix a song from a band outside of my usual circle. Excited by the history and vita of the members. And such a great song. Meeting them at our show in Seattle added so much fun to our already pumped energy. So nice and down to earth guys. A real pleasure.”

About Beborn Beton

Beborn Beton

Founded in 1989 in Germany, Beborn Beton consists of Stefan Netschio (vocals, lyrics), Stefan Tillmann (keys, drums), and Michael B. Wagner (keys). The trio initially self-released three cassette albums before issuing their debut full-length “Tybalt” (1993) and follow-up “Concrete Ground” (1994). They later joined the same label roster as Wolfsheim and De/Vision.

International success followed with albums such as “Nightfall” (1996), “Truth” (1997), and “Fake” (1999). Their 1997 single “Another World” became a club hit in North America, prompting the release of the compilation “Tales from Another World” (2002) and a subsequent U.S. tour with Apoptygma Berzerk.

After a lengthy hiatus, the band returned with “A Worthy Compensation” in 2015 on Dependent Records. The trio followed up with “Darkness Falls Again” in 2023.
