About Genesis P-Orridge
Genesis P-Orridge (1950–2020), born Neil Megson, was a British artist and musician who played a founding role in the industrial music genre. In the 1970s, P-Orridge co-founded Throbbing Gristle, whose confrontational sound and visual art positioned them at the forefront of avant-garde and experimental music.
Following the band’s disbandment in 1981, P-Orridge formed Psychic TV – a collective that explored psychedelia, ritual, and multimedia performance.
P-Orridge’s later work was dominated by the Pandrogyne Project, a gender- and identity-fusing collaboration with partner Lady Jaye Breyer. Together, they sought to erase traditional gender boundaries and “become a singular entity”, undergoing extensive body modifications and art projects that challenged concepts of identity and selfhood.
Genesis P-Orridge passed away on March 14, 2020.

Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, I’m all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil.
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast.
