Fictional announces digital single and video ‘Crossroads’ (feat. Rocco Schulschenk)

Fictional
Fictional, the synthpop project of Gerrit Thomas (Eisfabrik, Funker Vogt), releases the five-track digital single “Crossroads” featuring Rocco Schulschenk (N-Frequency, Binokular). An official video was also released for the very smooth and catchy title track “Crossroads”.
The single is out via RepoRecords as the fourth advance single from the forthcoming album “Some Great Constructions”, scheduled for October 16, 2025. The previous singles were “Your Whisper” (May 16), “Embrace the Silence” (June 13), and “Nightfall” (July 11).
The tracklist for the single itself:
Schulschenk and Thomas met while working on Binokular and decided to contribute a track together for the album. The lyrics were written by Stefan Winkel (Gecko Sector; contributor to Fußpils 11). “Crossroads” is one of five advance singles planned ahead of Fictional’s third full-length.
About Fictional
Fictional began in 1999 as a synthpop/EBM project by German producer Gerrit Thomas. The debut album “Fictitious” appeared that year on Zoth Ommog, primarily with Thomas on vocals and instrumentation, and guest vocals by Tim Fockenbrock on two songs (“Blue Lights,” “Dream of God”).
After Zoth Ommog folded, Metropolis issued “Fictitious [+]” in 2001 with two live bonuses. The second album “Fiction” followed in 2003, this time with Scottish singer Jason Bainbridge.
In 2025 Thomas reactivated Fictional with seven guest vocalists across five singles leading to the third album “Some Great Constructions” to be released in October 2025.
Thomas also produces Eisfabrik and remains active in Funker Vogt.

Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
