About Night in Athens (NIA)
NIA emerged from the DIY London punk scene in 2020, where she used to be a keyboardist in bands. Based in her East London room during the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020, NIA began writing and producing “to exorcise her demons”. “Metropolis” was the project’s debut EP in 2021 and mixed punk, darkwave, and coldwave.
She continued releasing recordings like 2022s “Creme Seen” which is a proto minimal-synth track mixed with analog synthwave with a touch of electroclash added. The upcoming album “Wasted Reflektions” will be released on the 1st of July on Wave Records.

Why we ask
Advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations we have not put up a paywall, and we refuse to add annoying advertising, so we need to ask for your help. Side-Line’s independent journalism takes time, money and hard work to produce, and we do it to push the artists we like, who are equally fighting to survive.
