Out now is DarkDriveClinic's cover version of Depeche Mode's "Walking In My Shoes". DarkDriveClinic is the duo consisting of producer John Fryer and vocalist Rebecca Coseboom. As it seems Fryer got inspired to do this cover when in Portland, Rebecca Coseboom had forgotten to bring her shoes and instead asked Fryer to borrow his. You can download the track for free (or 'name your price'). The track is part of the equally free (or 'name your price') EP "The covers" which also holds a cover of the REM classic track "Losing my religion" next to a club version of the latter. Good to know, this download EP will only stay online for a few weeks, so better get yours now.
Next to this DarkDriveClinic have been working on new material for the next album. One track has now already popped up online: "The Kissing Hands". Says John Fryer: "It didn’t fit the album but was too good not to be heard, so we just released it as a single track." You can go and check it out here.
Expect a 3-track EP "Lipstick Junkies" to be released via Bandcamp around Christmas. Working tittles for the songs are "Elevator Bitch", "Lipstick Junkies" and "Silent Fur". Tom Berger (guitars) and D. J. Maxwell (bass guitar) joined the band in the studio for this recording.
