Dead Marilyn Manson band member Gidget Gein appears in new filmPosted on 22/10/08
Marilyn Manson's former band member Gidget Gein, who died earlier this month of a suspected drug overdose, appears in the Ramzi Abed film "The Devil's Muse", which will screen in Los Angeles, USA on Thursday October 23rd. The bassist plays the part of the murderer in the horror/murder mystery about the Black Dahlia. The score was written by David J of Bauhaus and Love And Rockets. David J will perform songs from the film at Thursday's screening at Los Angeles' Engine Theatre. A DVD of the film and double-disc soundtrack package are available now. The bass player, real name Brad Stewart, played in Manson's band from 1989 until 1993, when he was fired and replaced by Twiggy Ramirez in a rather unusual way. On the Christmas Eve of 1993, when finding himself in a hospital bed, also after a heroin overdose, Manson dropped Gidget by way of a message delivered by Federal Express, to tell him that his services were "no longer needed".
Below is a scene from Ramzi Abed's "The Devil's Muse".
