Vioflesh – Nostalgia (Digital/CD/Vinel/Cassette Album – darkTunes Music Group / Young And Cold Records)
Vioflesh is a Chilean male-female duo who, with this album, present their first full-length release. Young And Cold Records released a vinyl edition -with less songs, and an European CD format while Vioflesh released a South-American CD pressing plus cassette. darkTunes takes care for the digital edition.
Vioflesh is an intriguing discovery for Electro-Pop lovers. The music may not be meticulously polished, but the floating and sometimes menacing atmosphere that permeates the songs is highly captivating. The whispery female vocals perfectly complement the overall mood. As the album progresses, we encounter slightly heavier tracks featuring subtle Techno elements and Trance-like leads, though the dark atmosphere remains consistent throughout.
This is a promising debut with several truly strong tracks. (Rating:8).
