The Search just released their latest new wave album ‘Indulgence’

The Search
The Swedish new wave band The Search is back with their latest album “Indulgence”. Fronted by singer, guitarist, and lead vocalist Razmig Tekeyan, the band has been active for years now offering a melancholic sound. “Indulgence” is now available in all download stores and streaming services.
The Search is a Swedish new wave and post-punk band, originally formed in Uppsala in 1999 under the name The Silverslut. They changed their name to The Search in 2003 and have been active in the indie music scene ever since. Known for their melancholic sound and introspective lyrics, The Search blends elements of new wave, indie rock, and post-punk, creating atmospheric and emotionally resonant music.
Led by singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter Razmig Tekeyan, the band has undergone various transformations over the years, with Tekeyan also continuing the project as a solo endeavor at one point. The Search has released numerous albums, including their debut self-titled album in 2004, “Heart’s Racing” (2020), and their latest release, “Indulgence” (2024), which explores themes of yearning, love, and the human condition.
The lineup now consists of Razmig Tekeyan, alongside MÄns Hartman (bass), Stephen Burt (lead guitar), and Johann Bernövall (drums).

Chief editor of Side-Line â which basically means I spend my days wading through a relentless flood of press releases from labels, artists, DJs, and zealous correspondents. My job? Strip out the promo nonsense, verify whatâs actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, Iâm all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraineâs ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil.
Since youâre here âŠ
⊠we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Side-Lineâs independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine â and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
