Suicide Queen ‘Crowned in Blood’ album out now

Suicide Queen
Los Angeles-based industrial blackened metal band Suicide Queen has released its second full-length album “Crowned in Blood” via COP International. The 11-track album arrives as the follow-up to their 2022 debut “Nymphomaniac” and the 2023 EP “The Heart’s Conceit.”
Vocalist and main songwriter Kay Dolores describes “Crowned in Blood” as follows: “We wanted this record to hurt. And it does. Maybe more so to record it than to listen to it, but you’ll decide for yourself.”
Additional guitars on “Dust” and “This Is How the Bleeding Starts” are provided by Dolores. The closing remix version of “Switchblade Mouth” is handled by producer and guitarist Dorian Dolore, with Joe Gilbert on bass; Dolore also mixed the track, while Graves handled the mastering.
Several titles link back to earlier work. “Your Grief Has Taken Many Forms” and “The Heart’s Conceit” previously appeared on the 2023 EP of the same name, where they were introduced as part of a “new era” for the band. “Switchblade Mouth” first appeared on the 2017 EP “Desiccation,” and is now revisited in both album and remix form.

Chief editor of Side-Line – which basically means I spend my days wading through a relentless flood of press releases from labels, artists, DJs, and zealous correspondents. My job? Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, I’m all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil.
