LUCKYANDLOVE drop dreamwave single ‘I Am Human’ ahead of 3rd album

LUCKYANDLOVE
Los‑Angeles synthwave duo LUCKYANDLOVE have released their latest single “I Am Human”, a darkwave track that doubles as a rallying cry against technological dependence. Out now through the band’s own Oilxice/Lynx Technique imprint, it is available to stream or purchase via Bandcamp and other major platforms. The song is the first taste of “Humaura”, the duo’s upcoming third album, scheduled for 3 October 2025
Love describes the track as a sci‑fi inspired “call to arms for screen zombies to disconnect,” noting that her graduate‑school reading of Martin Heidegger’s “The Question Concerning Technology” influenced the lyrics. Drummer/synth player Loren Luck adds that the song expresses their desire to “break the chains” of technology and return to a place of “human creativity and free thinking”.
Behind the scenes, the single was written and arranged by the duo and recorded live on a TASCAM 32‑track Portastudio. The recording features April Love on vocals, Moog and Juno synths and HX Stomp effects, while Luck handles drums and additional synthesizers. Engineer Be Hussey (known for work with Modern English, Swervedriver and Twin Tribes) mixed and mastered the digital track, while engineer Nicholas Townsend (Cheap Trick, Weezer) mastered the vinyl.
