Los Angeles synthwave/dark-electro duo LUCKYANDLOVE release the new single “Lonely At Night”, heralding their third album “Humaura”, due October 3, 2025. The album will be distributed by SRD – Southern Record Distributors, with digital rollout via IDOL.

“Lonely At Night” arrives with a video and serves as an early taste of the record’s analog-driven palette. “Picture of a vacant dorm room, where almost everyone left for holiday, leaving the character almost completely alone in a haunted dorm building. The track speeds up in the end, guitars and harmonies a cheerful finale,” says vocalist/synth player April Love. Loren Luck adds: “Loneliness is a killer. The song describes human feelings of being lonely and reconnecting. We are social animals that require human interaction in the flesh.”

“Lonely At Night” arrives on the back of the previous single “I Am Human“.

The “Humaura” album was recorded, mixed and digitally mastered by Be Hussey at Catwater/Balboa Studio (Los Angeles). Mastered for vinyl/lathe cut by Nicholas (Nick) Townsend at Townsend Mastering.

A record-release party is scheduled for October 11, 2025 at The Slipper Clutch (Los Angeles), presented by Deathrecordzz, with Warsaw Pact, Amore De Paris, No Exits, and a DJ set by Echolust.

About LUCKYANDLOVE

LUCKYANDLOVE is the Los Angeles duo Loren Luck and April Love, formed in 2014 in Silver Lake. Their name references The Good Luck Bar, where the pair first met.

Early releases were self-managed via the band’s store and Bandcamp, with UK/US distribution partnerships added for physical formats. The debut album “Lucky + Love” arrived in 2017 (SRD distribution). The second album “Transitions” followed in 2019, with SRD/Forced Exposure distribution and UK dates including London’s Synthwave Festival.

The new album “Humaura” lands on October 3, 2025.

Tracks by LUCKYANDLOVE (“Animal (Wanna See You),” “Summertime Frolic,” “It’s a Mistake,” among others) also appear on the soundtrack to the film “Tiger Within” (Ed Asner’s final performance).

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
