Seattle-based deathrock/darkwave act Ghosts In The Graveyard share the Halloween video for their cover “Walkin’ After Midnight.” “Walkin’ After Midnight” was originally written by Don Hecht and Alan Block and first performed (and first recorded/released) by Patsy Cline in 1956–57. The clip which premieres here on Side-Line was directed, written and produced by Dan Wilder, and edited by JB Sapienza. The video stars Mary Adams and Brynn Alyson.

“This video was originally conceived for a different song, but in the end it was found that the vibe of the piece was more suitable for ‘Walkin’ After Midnight’… such is the tumultuous beauty of artistic creation, art is forever mutable until presented to the intended audience… at which point I wish you a blessed Samhain (to which I’d argue that this is the perfect accompaniment for said season)!” says Dan Wilder.

“Walkin’ After Midnight” is part of “Absolute Death” (Re:Mission Entertainment). The album’s track list includes the cover alongside earlier 2025 singles “I Am the Dark” and “In The Darkness.” The album is available digitally and as a limited digipak CD (edition of 100) via Re:Mission’s Bandcamp.

Since you’re here …

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.

If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
