Nine Inch Nails Best-Of in the making featuring 2 new songs - but be patient, it's only for 2014Posted on 10/12/12
As it seems there's best-of Nine Inch Nails in the making. For 2014 that is. The news was revealed in this week's issue of The New Yorker which included a profile of Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. The best-of will be out on Interscope Records and will include 2 new tracks. The release should be followed by a brand new Nine Inch Nails album.
In further news, the profile also revealed that Reznor partnered with the Interscope/Dr. Dre-affiliated Beats by Dre enterprise that recently acquired the streaming music service MOG. The service would be rebranded to Daisy and should re-launch early next year. The service would add a human layer next to mathematics to offer suggestions to the listener. Comparing Daisy to Spotify, Reznor told The New Yorker "Here's sixteen million licensed pieces of music, they’ve said, but you’re not stumbling into anything. What's missing is a service that adds a layer of intelligent curation. That first wave of music presentation which felt magical, the one where the songs are chosen by algorithms that know who you listened to... has begun to feel synthetic."
We hope Reznor actually read the latest news regarding Spotify that actually tackles that specific problem. The more services, the more choice of course and MOG on itself was already quite a good service to start with.
More info when we get it. In the meantime enjoy this Nine Inch Nails demo right after the jump.
