Polaroid Kiss debut with 'Weakness of the Beautiful Souls' album holding massive collaborationsPosted on 29/05/12
(From our Norwegian correspondent Jan Ronald Stange) - The Irish-Swedish electronic group Polaroid Kiss will be releasing their debut album "Weakness of the Beautiful Souls" on July 3rd 2012. It will be available both as digital downloads worldwide at all major online retailers and in CD format directly from the band at http://musicshop.polaroidkiss.net .
Polaroid Kiss is currently based in Stockholm, and the principal name under which producer and engineer Brandun Reed has recorded since 2006. As of 2009, the project is now a duo with the addition of ex-Sneaker Pimps lyricist Ian Pickering. The duo collaborated with a wealth of other artists, particularly vocalists, similar in vein to how acts such as U.N.K.L.E., Massive Attack and Tricky operate. They've also been remixed by various acts such as Assemblage 23, Kant Kino, Alex FX and many others.
"Weakness of the Beautiful Souls" have guest vocalists such as Steve Kilbey (The Church), Hanin Elias (Atari Teenage Riot), Lucie Barat (Carl's sister, an actress) and Craig Grant (Union of Knives). Guest musicians includes Steve Hewitt (Placebo), Perry Bamonte (The Cure), Martin Sköld (Kent) and Kevin Drake (30 Seconds to Mars).
The album was produced by Brandun Reed, mixed by John Fryer and Brandun Reed, and recorded in Stockholm, San Francisco, London, Bath, Berlin, Los Angeles and Oslo.
