Out on July 19th is a special re-release of the compilation "New Naked Technology" by the legendary British act Pink Industy. The band from Liverpool was founded in the early 80s by Jayne Casey (singer of Pink Military) and Ambrose Reynolds (Big In Japan member and co-founder of legendary Frankie Goes to Hollywood). The duo was later joined by Tadzio Jodlowski on guitars. The band mixes new wave and experimental sounds with rather sexy vocals. Pink Industry released 3 regular albums, a number of 12"-singles and one 7" and recorded a total of 4 Peel Sessions for BBC.
The band split in 1987. Since then, 2 compilations were released in 1989 and 1995 by German label Parade Amoureuse and Brazilian label Cri Du Chat. In 2008 the first album "Low Technology" was re-released in Germany, including some bonus-tracks from an EP. Now, almost 30 years after the birth of the band, Wave Records offers all fans around the world this new compilation, including some song versions that have never been available before.
