Former Sigue Sigue Sputnik drummer Ray Mayhew, born 22 January 1965 in Southampton, has re-vamped his Mayhem Deranged project. The band now consists of Ray Mayhew (singer/guitar) and Robert Godfrey (Bassist) and the band has completed 4 songs so far which are all posted on the band's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/mayhemderanged . Mayhew was the guy who got himself into lots of trouble in the mid 80s - they even had his court dates printed onto t-shirts like tour dates, etc. The band will be gigging in London next month. Mayhew left Sigue Sigue Sputnik in 1990 and formed the group Mayhem Deranged which disbanded before formal recording had begun for an album. He also began working with John MacKenzie (brother of the late Billy MacKenzie of the Associates) in Dundee. More info at www.mayhemderanged.com .
