Sparks to play an album a night in LondonPosted on 23/11/07
UK's Sparks have revealed that they are to play 21 nights in London next year presenting an album a night. The first 20 concerts take place at London's Carling Islington Academy from May 16 onwards. During the 21st night at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on June 13th Ron and Russell Mael will premiere their as-yet-untitled 21st album, the follow-up to last year's "Young Lovers" CD. In the meantime a night to celebrate the Sparks tribute compilation "A Rainbow Over The Freeway" is to take place at London's Madame Jojos on November 29th. The night will feature several artists performing a selection of Sparks songs. All proceeds from sales of the CD will go to rainbowtrust.org.uk .
