Frontman Front 242 goes into politics

Front 242 singer Richard Jonckheere aka R23 / Richard 23 has taken the step to go into (Belgian) politics. For the forthcoming federal elections in Belgium, he's to be the candidate for the french speaking green party 'Ecolo'. The news leaked out to a wider public via the Belgian shocklog De Jager who devoted a story to Jonckheere. The post also added some extra info on the recent career of Front 242 making the whole a rather good read for those unfamiliar with the band and its members. Those who want to see a picture of Richard in a rather unusual peacepul pose should head straight to the the De Jag shocklog. Good luck Richard and 'Catch the votes'! In the meantime, Front 242 fans have started to support Richard by posting the story on Digg.com (vote here), on MSN (vote here) and on Reddit (vote here).

Posted by: Electronaut242 on May 19, 07 | 7:38 am I really find this strange because Front was a band that allways posted that they where anti pollitical,and now Richard joins the green party?For asfar you can call this a pollitical party?Because I allways looked at this party as a habbitat for anti globalists and extreme left hooligans.Where allways talking about the bad right side of pollitics but the left side is as bad as its opposit brother.So do i personally find this a good idea??? Hell No i dont,but we are living thank whoever (because god does NOT EXIST!!) in a free society so he can do what ever he wants,and if he can cool down the Holligans and someone at the right side does the same,lets not forget the moslims...if they can be chilled too then maybe this world will become a better place.But for myself........... |
