Marilyn Manson has told in an interview that his upcoming album "Eat Me, Drink Me" was responsible for saving his life as he was close to commit suicide after his wife kicked him out. Manson: "I am really amazed to be still alive after a culmination of bad events that was capped by my wife filing divorce papers at Christmas time (...) that was really a sad time." Not that it has prevented Manson to use his misery to promote "Eat Me, Drink Me", his first new album since 2003's "The Golden Age Of Grotesque" which supposedly was inspired by his private problems. Co-produced by Manson and bassist Tim Skold it is currently being mixed by Sean Beavan. Beavan is a familiar name for the Manson fans as he has worked on several other Manson projects, including 1996's "Antichrist Superstar", and 1998's "Mechanical Animals". The sound of the album is being descrived as very 'Queen-ish'... "Eat Me, Drink Me" is scheduled for a May release after which Manson will hit the road for the first time since his "Against All Gods" tour in late 2004.

Posted by: on Apr 02, 07 | 7:11 pm I have been trying to find more information of the new Marilyn Manson album, EAT ME, DRINK ME. (due sometime in June 2007) and I came across the name Sean Beavan, who will be mixing the new Manson album. Sean has worked on other Manson projects including the 1996 Antichrist Superstar album as well as the 1998 Mechanical’s Animals album. He also worked with Trent Renzor (NIN) and help forged the sound of NIN as well as No Doubt and Kill Hannah. With the tremendous success of all these albums Sean has worked on, I am looking forward to see what he has done with Manson’s new album – looking to be an amazing album collaboration. |
