The Pink Elephants release 'Mothers Of The Sun'
The Ottawa/Athens-based psychedelic shoegaze project The Pink Elephants has released the digital album “Mothers Of The Sun” via Bandcamp. The set features guest guitarist Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless) and vocalist Cristin Heck (Elsinore, Vancouver).
The album is available as a name-your-price digital download on Bandcamp counting 8 tracks, 2 more than on other platforms.
Recording took place at Nova Tide Studio (Ottawa) between September 2024 and March 2025, with additional work at Isaiah Mitchellâs studio in California (February/March 2025). Rena Kozak mixed four tracks at St Zo Studios (MontrĂ©al). Vocals for “Mother Sun Rises” were recorded in Vancouver in September 2025.
Peter McNestry adds: âThis particular release was extra special since I collaborated with Isaiah Mitchell from Earthless on three tracks. I also collaborated with Cristin Heck from Vancouver; she provided vocals on the track âMother Sun Risesâ.â

The Pink Elephants is a psychedelic/shoegaze project active out of Ottawa, Canada, with collaborators in Athens, Greece. Members include founder Peter McNestry (vocals, guitar, synth, drums), Art Pegis (vocals, guitar, synth), and Sophia Mamassi (vocals).
