FIX8:SED8 to release 'Octagram' on Dependent, Oct 3
German electro-industrial project FIX8:SED8 will release the new album “Octagram” via Dependent Records on October 3, 2025. The concept hinges on the symbolism of the number eight, which the project connects to ideas of infinity and – per the label’s notes – religion’s promises of eternal life.
The album is available as a CD, a limited 2-CD hardcover artbook (with a bonus disc), and digital. The core record contains eight tracks, each roughly eight minutes long, with newly added odd time signatures and polyrhythmic structures. “Vocal samples consist mainly of recitations of last words from people about to receive the death sentence,” the label says.
Pre-release singles included “New Eden” and “Oathbreaker,” both issued with official videos.
You can order the album via Bandcamp.
The bonus CD “Tetragram” which comes with the artbook only includes these tracks:
- The Opinionated
- Mortifier
- Not Today, Satan
- T.L.O.D.O.Y.T.
About FIX8:SED8
FIX8:SED8 is the dark electro / electro-industrial project of Martin Sane (real name Martin Januszewski), based in Wiesbaden, Germany. Early work includes the debut album “Humanophobia” which appeared in 2006 (self-released, produced in early 2005); “Dormicum” followed in 2009.
In 2017, the project signed with Dependent for “Foren6”, then issued “Warning Signs” (2019) and “The Inevitable Relapse” (2021). In 2024, Dependent compiled remastered editions as “Humanophobia:Dormicum”.
Chief editor of Side-Line – which basically means I spend my days wading through a relentless flood of press releases from labels, artists, DJs, and zealous correspondents. My job? Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void. Outside the news filter bubble, I’m all in for quality sushi and helping raise funds for Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the modern-day axis of evil.
Since you’re here …
… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Side-Line’s independent journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we want to push the artists we like and who are equally fighting to survive.
If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps fund it, our future would be much more secure. For as little as 5 US$, you can support Side-Line Magazine – and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
The donations are safely powered by Paypal.
