Marseille industrial pop and electro rock quartet 1003 will release the EP “0.3” on January 30, 2026 as a self-produced digital title. “0.3” is the band’s second EP. “0.3” is a six-track EP, with the previously released “The Shapes” as the closing track.

The EP contains six tracks: “The End”, “The Contradiction”, “The Debater”, “The Hole In The Ground”, “The Body”, and “The Shapes”. “0.3” was recorded and mixed by Martin Baudu at Cool Train Studio in Aubagne, except “The End”, which was mixed by Jessy Bengold. François Fanelli mastered the EP at Sonic Mastering in Marseille.

Here’s the Florian Castells directed video for the 1003 track “The Shapes”.

About 1003

1003 (stylised as I00Ξ) is a Marseille, France industrial pop, electro rock, and post-industrial quartet that launched locally in 2023. Vocalist and songwriter Jessy Bengold initiated the project and later recruited Martin Baudu (bass/guitar), Louise Baudu (synths), and David Benzazon (drums).

The group self-describe as an “apocalypse from Marseille” and references the following bands as influences;:Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, ††† (Crosses), Killing Joke, David Bowie (“Earthling” and “Blackstar”), Ulver (“The Assassination of Julius Caesar”), Massive Attack, HEALTH, James Blake, and Thom Yorke.

Bengold spent extended periods abroad, including South Africa, Norway, and Greece, while writing early material. He later recorded at Cool Train Studio in Aubagne.

Their first release was the standalone digital single “The Heads” (released October 26, 2024). That debut single was followed with the three-track digital EP “1.0” (released April 10, 2025)featuring the tracks “The Little Boy In The Sky”, “The Heads”, and “The Mist”.

In November 2025, the band released “The Shapes” as the first single and video from the six-track self-produced digital EP “0.3”, announced for January 30, 2026. Note that the nine songs spread across the early releases were developed in the same writing period and were considered for an album before the split into two EPs.
