Los Angeles psych-gaze outfit Tombstones In Their Eyes releases the single “Alive and Well“, the follow-up to October’s “Under Dark Skies”. The track precedes the album “Under Dark Skies”, out December 5 on digital and vinyl via Little Cloud Records (North America) and Shore Dive Records (UK/EU).
The video for “Alive and Well” comes from Italian visual artist Francesca Bonci, who also directed the clip for “Under Dark Skies“.
“Alive and Well” is dedicated to guitarist Paul Boutin (a.k.a. Paul Lovecraft), who died of cancer on October 18, 2025.
Singer-guitarist John Treanor says: “When our beloved friend and guitar player lost his life on 10/18/25, we were shocked, confused and incredibly saddened… We miss him greatly and are glad he is all over this record.” He adds: “We were initially going to scrap ‘Alive and Well’ as a single after Paul’s passing… but because it was one of Paul’s favorites and a song on which he played guitar, we are going ahead with the release.”
The recording features John Treanor (vocals, guitar), Paul Boutin (guitar), Nic Nifoussi (bass), Stephen Striegel (drums, percussion), and backing vocals by Courtney Davies, Clea Cullen and Joel Wasko, with Paul Roessler contributing from Kitten Robot Studios.
About Tombstones In Their Eyes
Formed in Los Angeles, Tombstones In Their Eyes began as a personal creative outlet for John Treanor before evolving into a full band known for its expansive psychedelic and shoegaze-infused rock sound. The group’s line-up includes Treanor, Stephen Striegel, Courtney Davies, Phil Cobb, Paul Boutin, Nic Nifoussi, and Clea Cullen.
Their music combines textured guitar layers, introspective lyrics, and hypnotic rhythms, often exploring themes of mental health and emotional transformation.
Over the past decade, Tombstones In Their Eyes has become a fixture in the American psych-rock underground, steadily releasing albums and singles through indie labels like Kitten Robot Records and now Little Cloud Records and Shore Dive Records.

Strip out the promo nonsense, verify what’s actually real, and decide which stories make the cut and which get tossed into the digital void.
