Mari Kattman announces new album 'Year of the Katt' on Metropolis Records
Electronic vocalist and producer Mari Kattman will release her third solo album, “Year of the Katt,” on June 20, 2025, via Metropolis Records. The album marks her debut release for the label and follows a career both as a solo artist and a featured vocalist with numerous electronic and industrial acts.
The first single from the album, “Anemia”, is available now. “This song stemmed from my own current iron deficient state, which is an extremely frustrating condition that can take a year or more to correct,” Kattman explains. “It was actually the last track I wrote for it while I was completing the mixing of all the other songs. I’m glad it made it on there!”
Kattman’s work spans a wide range of electronic subgenres, blending Trap, Electro, Hip Hop, Ambient, EBM, and Industrial influences. Her previous singles include “Fever Shakes”, “URGOD.AI”, and “Swallow”.

… we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Side-Line Magazine than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our journalism as open as we can - and we refuse to add annoying advertising.
