About Project Silence

Project Silence was formed in Kuopio, Finland, in 2008 by vocalist Delacroix, later joined by Silve_R (Rieti Jauhiainen) on drums, S (Simo Ruotsalainen) and A (Aksu Mussalo) on guitars, and H (Henri Hakkarainen) on bass. The band mixes melodic death metal with the rhythmic, melancholic beats of synthwave and industrial music, a sound it developed across three albums, with combined streams passing two million on Spotify. Project Silence has played clubs and festivals including Kuopiorock and Mammothfest, and toured the UK, Russia and Latvia, opening for Aborted, Soilwork and Decapitated.

Side-Line has followed the band’s singles cycle since “Disease” in 2022 and “Cult” in 2023, both ahead of “The Void”, and the lyric video for “Rip The Flesh” in 2024. “Final Report (Purge)”, released in August 2026, is the second single from the band’s fourth album, following “Rotten” in November 2025.

Finnish industrial death metal band Project Silence has released “Rotten“, the first single from their upcoming fourth album. The track introduces the next chapter after the band’s 2024 full-length “The Void”.

Vocalist Delacroix describes the song as “at its core, an industrial metal song with some melodic death metal fusion,” adding that it is the first full composition by guitarist A (Aksu Mussalo) that the band arranged to match their established sound. The lyrics follow a necromancer and their victim’s almost symbiotic bond.

The current lineup features Delacroix (vocals, keyboards, programming), S (guitar), SilveR (drums), A (guitar) and H (bass). “Rotten” continues the industrial–melodic death metal hybrid heard on “The Void”, “The Conjurer”, “Tainted”, “Neon God”, “Cult”, “Disease“, “Blood Moon” and “Fallout”, which the band has released in quick succession since 2021.

About Project Silence

Project Silence formed in 2008 in Kuopio, Finland, initially as the solo project of vocalist, keyboardist and programmer Delacroix before expanding into a full band. Early on, Delacroix released free demo recordings under the Project Silence name in 2008 and 2009, laying out an electronic-driven extreme metal sound that mixed industrial textures with harsher guitar work.

The group’s debut full-length “424” appeared in 2012, followed by “Slave To The Machine” in 2016. At that time Project Silence worked with Sliptrick Records and pushed their material through European touring, including a first Russian headlining run in 2017 and UK dates that culminated in a Mammothfest appearance.

In 2018 the band issued the maxi-EP “Infinity”, recorded at their Silence Bunker studio, marking a return to more industrial and electro-metal elements while retaining higher-tempo material. From 2021 onward, Project Silence shifted toward a digital singles model, releasing “Fallout” and “Blood Moon” in 2021, then “Disease”, “Cult”, “Neon God” and “Tainted” between 2022 and 2023. Their third album “The Void” was released on 12 July 2024.

The current lineup consists of Delacroix, Silve_R (Rieti Jauhiainen), S (Simo Ruotsalainen), A (Aksu Mussalo) and H (Henri Hakkarainen).

The Finnish industrial metal band Project Silence released a new lyric video “Rip The Flesh”, taken from their upcoming album “The Void”.

In a reaction frontman Delacroix says this: “The track is an opening track from the album, the idea was to get atmosphere and inspiration from the Doom games. The song started as a motif with a main riff, made by our guitarist A and when I heard the fast killer riff, instantly, I had an idea to compose some heavy ramming riffs around it and make some atmospheric synths to go with it. The song is full of fast riffs, hefty and ramming stuff with a lot of synths. The story itself tells a story about series main character “Doomguy” and if you know how the games are, you know that the the lyrics of the song are pretty violent and brutal.”

About Project Silence

Established in Kuopio by vocalist Delacroix in 2008, the band’s early material was closer to industrial metal and aggrotech-based music. As time went on, the band’s music began to have heavier tones and electronic elements, industrial elements still being a big part of it.

The band released their first album, “424” in 2012, which mixed melodic metal and atmospheric industrial. In 2016, the band signed a worldwide contract with Sliptrick Records, and later the same year they released their second album, “Slave To The Machine”, which was heavier with ingredients from death, black, and other extreme metal subgenres. The same evolution continued with their latest EP, “Infinity”, and singles like “Disease” (2022) and “Cult” (2023) from their upcoming album. On the other hand you could hear synthwave and darksynth with their instrumental singles “Blood Moon” (2021) and “Neon God” (2023).

The Finnish industrial metal band Project Silence has released a new single “Disease” from their upcoming album. The band formed in 2008 and has since released 3 albums, the latest being the 2016 full length “Slave to the machine” on Sliptrick Records.

The new single follows last year’s “Fallout” single.

Delacroix explains the context of the new single: “‘Disease’ is exceptionally personal and lyrically one of the heaviest songs for me. The song tells about losses I have endured during these couple of years and battling with thoughts and feelings that have awakened because of these things. ‘Disease’ is also one of the softest songs from the album and includes some synthwave and electro-industrial-styled synths and beats. But in the end, we haven’t forgotten death metal and other extreme metal influences in the song.”

Here’s the video for the single which was produced by Turo Myllynen/The Attitude Media.
