New York duo Heavy Halo will join My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult on the second leg of the “Delicate Terror Tour,” which starts on March 25, 2026 in San Francisco and ends on April 18, 2026 in Los Angeles. Note that the official tour announcement also lists Light Asylum, Die Sexual, and Devora on the run.

Heavy Halo’s Gosteffects says: “My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult was the very first concert I went to, as a kid in Oklahoma, inspiring me to set out on a lifelong artistic journey, from throwing illegal raves in Oklahoma City to producing hundreds of artists in NYC.”

McKeever from his side add: “The film, The Crow, which featured My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult in an unforgettable performance scene, imprinted TKK’s stamp on my psyche, becoming key sonic and visual influences for Heavy Halo. It is a full circle moment for us.”

The duo’s most recent release is the “Godspell (Heavy Halo Remix),” a remix they did for Andy Bell.

About Heavy Halo

Heavy Halo is the New York City duo of McKeever and Gosteffects. McKeever studied composition at Columbia University, while Gosteffects was active in techno and rave production before regrouping in New York during the pandemic to complete the material for their debut. “Black Seed” was released on August 13, 2021, followed by “Crush” in September 2021 and “Control You” on October 1, 2021. The original 10-track version of the self-titled album “Heavy Halo” was released digitally on November 5, 2021 through Negative Gain Productions.

On August 5, 2022, Negative Gain issued a deluxe CD edition of “Heavy Halo” with the 10 album tracks and eight remixes, while “Crushed / Destroyed” appeared as an eight-track remix album the same day. Heavy Halo then returned with “The Poisoning” in January 2024, “Damage Me (feat. Georgi)” on November 3, 2024, and “Erase Yr Fate” on November 25, 2024.

After signing with Silent Pendulum, the duo rolled out “Justified” on February 4, 2025, “New Blood” on March 4, “Failure.” on April 4, “Final Fall” on May 16, “Bloodrush” on June 16, and the Light Asylum collaboration “Die Cast Down” on July 17. The 10-track album “Damaged Dream” followed on July 25, 2025, with “Lies” and “Lost in Heaven” later pushed as video-led tracks.

Their latest release is the Andy Bell rework “Godspell (Heavy Halo Remix)”, issued ahead of their spring 2026 run with My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.

Alt-industrial duo Heavy Halo have issued the official video for “Lost in Heaven”, a track from their second album “Damaged Dream,” out now via Silent Pendulum Records. The clip is cut entirely from footage captured on the band’s summer U.S. dates supporting darkwave act Light Asylum. “Lost in Heaven” appears as track four on “Damaged Dream,” released July 25, 2025.

Musically, the band’s sound fuses industrial electronics with alt-rock hooks.

Vocalist Mike McKeever commented on the single and the road footage: “When you’re listless in the doldrums of life, and the numbness of ennui is setting in, another year is looking to be a long one unless you douse your world in gasoline and torch it… The resulting chaos is pure fireworks — intoxicating in their glow yet caustic to the touch. New York City-based alt-rock / industrial duo Heavy Halo will release the single “Lies” tomorrow, August 15, 2025 via Silent Pendulum Records. But on Side-Line you can already see the official video premiere of the track.

The track is taken from the “Damaged Dream” album which was released on July 25, 2025 by Silent Pendulum Records. The album is available on the label’s Bandcamp and on major streaming platforms. A vinyl edition is coming up as well.

McKeever summarizes the album’s theme as follows: “Damaged Dream is what you’re left with when the ideals you hold shatter… While the dream is damaged, it is not completely destroyed.”

Heavy Halo spent July 2025 on a US East Coast run with Light Asylum, with dates including Baltimore (Mobtown Ballroom, July 17), Washington, DC (Pie Shop, July 22), and additional shows across the region.

The Brooklyn, NY based industrial rock act Heavy Halo has announced the release of the remix album “Crushed/Destroyed”. Having released their self-titled debut album last year, “Crushed/Destroyed” features remixes of songs off the album including reworks by Atari Teenage Riot/Alec Empire, Xavier Swafford of 3Teeth, Pictureplane, Kontravoid and more.

Brooklyn, NY based industrial rock duo Heavy Halo have released their new music video “Black Seed” which acts as a teaser for their self-titled debut album to be released November 5th on the electronic music label Negative Gain. Pre-order information will be made avaiable soon.

The band has this to say about the song itself: “‘Black Seed’ is about the despair and nihilism that grows in us all with repeated exposure to failure. This darkness spreads then radiates outward, corrupting everything we touch. “Black Seed” echoes back to 90’s grunge and industrial, reminiscent of artists such as Stabbing Westward, Nine Inch Nails, and Filter and still rings true today.”

The video was directed by Meta Armory and styled by Whatever21 and “conveys the stalemate of self-destruction” so the band says, and they add: “we’re tortured by disembodied hands, our shadow selves, but ultimately, we claw through by filling the void with noise.”

Heavy Halo is a duo consisting of McKeever and Gosteffects. McKeever spent years studying composition at Columbia University while playing every sweat-soaked DIY venue possible. Gosteffects from his side was banging out weaponized techno at illegal raves across the country.

Heavy Halo really came together after McKeever went through a chaotic spiral that sent him to New Orleans, Los Angeles, a psychiatric ward, and back. They regrouped in New York’s pandemic wasteland, holed up in Gosteffect’s studio built in a former hospital.
