Premiering on Side-Line today is the brand new video, “Eve”, from the Los Angeles-based industrial rock band Fleischkrieg. The song was produced, mixed, and mastered by Logan Mader (Machine Head, Once Human).

This is what the band says about the track: “The song “Eve” is based on the Gnostic tradition of Adam’s wife being the hero in the Genesis creation myth – rather than the villain. This 2nd century Christian sect revered Eve as an early incarnation of the Divine Feminine, and if it weren’t for her courage to commit “original sin” – we’d still be trapped in a genetics lab known as the Garden of Eden.

The song is sung from Adam’s point of view where he praises Eve for delivering them from the tyranny of the Elohim. Though they are “thrown out the gilded cage”, Adam asks Eve to “make the thorns our home”, a poetic nod to human resilience in the face of catastrophe.”

Italian scholar Mauro Biglino and his research on the Biblical Apocrypha inspired the song’s themes and lyrical content. Mauro briefly translated for the Vatican – but was eventually fired when his published works revealed modern Christian theology was incompatible with the written texts of ancient Hebrew authors.

The L.A.-based industrial group, 3TEETH, is set to launch their new album, “EndEx”, on September 22 through Century Media.

It’s been 4 years since their last album, during which they’ve collaborated with renowned bands like Tool and Ministry. They’ve also gained attention for their covers of “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People and “You Spin Me Round” by Dead or Alive, the latter featuring on the “Guns Akimbo” soundtrack.

The creation of “EndEx” saw a collaboration with Mick Gordon, the composer for DOOM, amidst the isolated landscapes of L.A.’s Joshua Tree. Moreover, many of the album’s music videos are directed by Hollywood director, Matteo Santoro, known for his work on “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and “300”. Santoro and 3TEETH’s lead singer, Alexis Mincolla, share a childhood bond as we reported before.

From the album, early single releases include tracks like “Paralyze” (featuring Ho99o9), “Merchant of the Void”, “Slum Planet” (a commentary on unchecked consumerism harming our planet), and “Scorpion”. A recent release, “Drift”, showcases a more minimalist sound, accompanied by a video that offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the band recording their forthcoming album.

Fans can also anticipate a cover of Tears for Fears’ hit, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, dropping next week.

Chicago-based industrial metal act Programmable Animal has just released a video for “Sunset”. The song itself was produced by Sean Beavan who you will know from his work with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and 3TEETH.

“Sunset” is featured on their 7-track EP “One Step to Hell” which was released in November 2020 already, so this video comes almost 3 years after the release of the EP itself. Led by frontman Drepsea, Programmable Animal aims “to create a visceral, cathartic, and soulful experience with its audience.”

While writing the 7-track release, the band also recorded with Producer Chuck Macak (Born of Osiris, Fall of Troy, & Letlive.) Following the completion of the release, Programmable Animal signed with the Negative Gain label in 2020.

According to 3TEETH’s frontman and creative lead, Alexis Mincolla, the song “Drift” embodies a sense of resignation that comes from living life to the fullest, without being held back by fear or regret. Alexis: “It represents the triumphant flicker of a lantern, the last traces of a fierce and passionate spirit, defiantly burning as we transition from the mundane reality of our physical existence to the ethereal void where consciousness roams freely, unburdened by the limitations of our mortal form.”

To lay the foundation for the new material, 3TEETH migrated to the deserted quiet of Joshua Tree, escaping their hometown of Los Angeles for a fresh perspective. The material is currently being finalised with an extended team including sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon “Doom”), who produced several of the tracks along with producer Nick Rowe and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN).

3TEETH first manifested in 2013, releasing their self-titled debut album the following year. In 2017, the album “shutdown.exe” followed. Working alongside producer and mixer Sean Beavan (NIN) at their new label home, Century Media, 3TEETH continued with “Metawar” (2019).

3TEETH is comprised of Alexis Mincolla (vocals), Chase Brawner (guitars), Xavier Swafford (keyboards and synthesiser), Andrew Means (bass), and Nick Rossi (drums).

The Los Angeles based industrial band Fleishkrieg has just unleashed their new full-length album, “Herzblut”, which is “Heart’s Blood” in German and a metaphor used to describe the total effort and sacrifice a person makes towards their life’s work.

With “Herzblut” the band debuts the sound of ‘brutalwave’, a sub genre of industrial that blends the synth-pop of new wave with more aggressive metal elements. Included is also a cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax”.

The driver, Richard Cranor, and the passenger, Thomas Crawford, talked about Rammstein, industrial metal, and purchasing equipment for their industrial metal solo careers and after Rich attended Tom’s next show, he ended up shooting a music video for him. In exchange, Tom tracked guitars for three of Rich’s songs.

When an opening act dropped out of a show in which Tom was involved, he contacted Rich to do the opening set. Rich agreed with the caveat that Tom play guitars, and so Fleischkrieg was formed.

The band, currently based in L.A., cite Rammstein, DK-Zero, 3TEETH, and Lord of the Lost as musical influences.

Dark alternative electronic band Sine to release upcoming album “Desire, Denial and Paramania”, an 11 track collection featuring select songs from the group’s albums, “Insomniæ” and “Injected”, recorded between the years 2016-2020.

About Sine

Sine is an alternative rock/electronic band created and led by singer and drummer, Rona Rougeheart. She has stepped from behind the kit to create her own female fronted project that weaves dance beats with industrial noise and layers of booming bass, synths and guitars.

Rougeheart, born in New York, grew up as a military child, living all over the U.S. and in Okinawa, Japan. Her father was a musician who taught her how to play keys and guitar. Early in her musical career, she played drums for multiple bands in Austin, TX, catching the eye of Gretsch Drums who, in 2012, gave her her first endorsement. Gibraltar hardware also added her to their roster.

In April, 2019, she landed a direct support slot for Peter Murphy in Orlando, FL for the 40th Anniversary of Bauhaus Ruby Tour with David J. The night seemed ill-fated when Peter was unable to perform, but was revitalized when she joined David J, Curse Mackey, Mark Gemini-Thwaite and Marc Slutsky for an impromptu performance of Bauhaus tunes.

From that night, a new project emerged between David J, Curse Mackey and herself.

The LA based industrial band Fleischkrieg has launched their brand new video for the single “Reach”. The song features fellow goth/industrial artist Nuda and will appear on the forthcoming album, “Herzblut”, due out October, 2021.

Here’s what the band says about the concept of the album: “The album, Herzblut as a whole is about how we’re always fighting a war of some kind for both our physical, mental & emotional survival. There are a lot more layers to this struggle than most realize. Every day is a “fleshkrieg” (flesh war) if you think about it. Chicago’s Industrial Metal/Rock outfit Programmable Animal have announced the release of its new album “One Step to Hell” on Negative Gain.

“One Step to Hell”, was produced/mixed by producer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, 3TEETH and No Doubt). The band also recorded with Chuck Macak (Born of Osiris, Fall of Troy and Letlive.) at his studio while creating the album. So what can you expect from “One Step to Hell”? According to the label it offers industrial metal with elements of post-hardcore and post-rock.

The album tells a very personal story for Founder/Vocalist Drepsea and delves into a time when his life was flipped upside down by narcissistic and backstabbing people, also the passing of a loved one and almost losing another loved one due to drug addiction.

Drepsea: “This album has been blood, sweat, and tears.. literally. I’ve endured some troubling experiences this past year and a half and the record is a result of that. Dealing with narcissistic backstabbing people, the effects of others using drugs and impacting me, the death of a loved one, & a loved one almost dying due to heroin overdose.. resulting in me having to perform CPR on them (due to cardiac arrest) until the paramedics arrived. Background/Info: Escape To What was set up in 2017 by James Orez and Jan O. They claim to mix industrial- and metal music, being inspired by bands such as NIN, Deftones, Fear Factory, 3Teeth, Skinny Puppy ao. Among the six songs you’ll discover three cuts that will be featured on the band’s upcoming album.

Content: This EP (which rather looks as a mini-album) takes off with the unpolished and brutal “The Vacant Ones”. The guitar playing is harsh and industrial like, which creates a great match with the vocals. This opener also is the heaviest cut of the work, Escape To What also composing some ‘softer’ songs, which feel a bit like intermezzos. The last song is composed with some piano play creating rather evasive moments while evolving towards harder passages with whispering vocals.

+ + + : I like the debut song –which will be featured at the band’s upcoming album, for its unpolished production and merciless format. The next song coming up (cf. “Pandemonia (Can You Feel Me)” is somewhat different, but I here again like the guitar playing for its mewing sound. “When The Still Move”, which is the last song, reveals an interesting duality between a dreamy and a harder part.

– – – : The songs are pretty short and sometimes feel like being unachieved; like a kind of demo for a next and hopefully more elaborated work.

Conclusion: I can’t say to have been seriously impressed by this work, but I’m convinced there’s more potential hiding in this band than what came out on this EP.

German industrial pioneers Die Krupps return with guest vocalist Jyrki69 (69 Eyes) on a new version of the 80’s underground classic “Chinese Black”, originally released by The Neon Judgement. A video has been released as well, which you can watch below.

For the video the duo teamed up with video director Vicente Cordero (Not My God, Skold, 3Teeth). “Chinese Black” will be available on all digital platforms everywhere starting April 6th. The track will also appear on the forthcoming Die Krupps album for Cleopatra Records.

Joining PIG on a UK tour in early February is the American industrial metal act 3Teeth.

PIG, helmed by Raymond Watts, brings Watts back together with En Esch (KMFDM) and Steve White. The trio is completed with drummer Jan-Vincent Velazco (Ghost).

Denver based industrial metal band Ritual Aesthetic will be releasing a new album titled “Wound Garden” on July 27th with Cleopatra Records. The band was formed by Sean Ragan formerly of extreme horror band Dawn of Ashes, and this will be their 2nd record. Since their start in 2013 the band has built an impressive following in Colorado and beyond and will take their music worldwide with Wound Garden.

The band’s next single and music video for the track “The Analog Flesh” has just been launched and you can see it in an exclusive premiere on Side-Line.

Ritual Aesthetic is an industrial metal band formed in 2014 by drummer Sean Ragan. Originally a solo studio project, Ritual Aesthetic released 2014’s “Decollect” on Juggernaut Services UK. In 2016 Ritual Aesthetic was turned into a live band by Ragan, recruiting musicians from the extreme metal scene to begin performing live.

Between 2016 and 2018 while writing the followup album “Wound Garden”, Ritual Aesthetic performed as direct support for acts such as The Revolting Cocks, 3TEETH, Frontline Assembly and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, sparking the attention of Cleopatra Records. During this time, Ragan experimemted with score work, scoring the shows The Drowning Girls, Breadcrumbs and August 2018s upcoming Wakey, Wakey at the Urbanite Theatre in Sarasota, Flordia.

Mortiis has one of the remixes from “The Great Corrupter” featured in this art film: “Dracula is not Dead”. The soundtrack for the film is being released as an EP via Outrenoir Records, a division of Dead Seed Productions.

The film was shot in Paris by Luizo Vega and the Studio V Paris. Next to Mortiis the soundtrack also features Resident Alien, Klein and 3Teeth. You can download the EP for free at outrenoir-records.bandcamp.com.

“The Great Corrupter” is available on a vinyl limited to 500 copies in five different vinyl colors (all versions are available via Mortiis’ very own webstore), limited to 100 copies each, with a unique center-opening gatefold. Now in it’s 18th year, Infest’s now fully-announced 2016 line-up is 3 glorious days of heavyweights of the electronic music genre, old and new.

Playing are Pop Will Eat Itself, Atari Teenage Riot, 3Teeth, Dead When I Found Her, Leaether Strip, Vigilante. to name but a few; and you’ll also get 3 days of top quality DJ’s to add to the fun.

Last year’s festival continued Infest’s long-standing reputation of impeccably-chosen line-ups of musically interesting and entertaining bands. Some of the highlights from last year included:

• a beautifully messed-up and rowdy electronic assault by ex-Ministry/Revolting Cocks’ frontman’s current incarnation, COCKSURE;
• a darkly-twisted techno set by the electronic trailblazers EMPIRION;
• an introduction to the primal industrial sound of CHANT all the way from Texas (which was a festival highlight);
• a sojourn in the incredibly polished theatrical-gothic niche that Germany’s L’Ame Immortelle dominate;
• the intense, emotive and diverse sound of KLANGSTABIL;
• the Pink Floyd of dark electronica, MIND IN A BOX, delighted with an intelligent, diverse and musically-rich performance.

And then there was the karaoke (yes, your read that correctly!), the dance-floor shenanigans and the after-parties and mayhem.

Here’s the thing about Infest though. It’s human-scale. It’s one stage. There’s no running around from venue to venue; no having to chose which of your bands you are prepared to miss because of cross-over scheduling. The staff are super-friendly; there’s food stalls and shots and outdoor seating and a general welcoming party atmosphere. If you haven’t been, go. It’s not one to miss.

As you know, 3TEETH have supported Tool on their US tour in January. Tool apparently appreciates 3TEETH quite a lot, because they joined the band on stage on January 31st, in New Orleans, LA… dressed in bunny costumes. It were Tool’s drummer Danny Carey and bassist Justin Chancellor who walked on stage during 3teeth’s closing performance of “Southbound Pachyderm”.

This is probably the biggest move from any band in this scene since Combichrist toured with Rammstein. The LA-based industrial-metal foursome 3TEETH have been announced as support for the upcoming Tool tour, set to take-off from San Diego on January 9th, 2016. Primus will also share the bill.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2013, 3TEETH quickly became one of the city’s rising stars in both industrial and metal scenes. Their self-titled debut, was released on Toronto’s Artoffact Records immediately catching everybody’s attention, you can check out their debut right here.
