French cold industrial/sadwave duo Years Of Shame will release their debut album “Primary” on 6 February 2026 through Icy Cold Records, presenting eight tracks written between Paris and Rennes. The album was mixed by Welt Motors and mastered by Maurizio Baggio, whose credits include The Soft Moon and Sextile.

The project brings together vocalist Berne Evol and guitarist/producer Brice Delourmel, known from French coldgaze band Dead. and Delourmel’s solo work as Giirls. Years Of Shame describe their music as sadwave combining coldwave foundations with industrial dancefloor and shoegaze influences.

The album “Primary” will be available as a digital release and as a CD edition via Bandcamp, with pre-orders offering two advance tracks. Icy Cold Records has already introduced the project with the digital singles “Heat” and “Trust”, both released in late 2025.

“Trust” was accompanied by an official performance video. The clip shows the live configuration of Years Of Shame, with Berne handling both vocals and bass.

About Years Of Shame

Years Of Shame is a French sadwave project based between Rennes and Paris, formed by vocalist Berne Evol and guitarist/producer Brice Delourmel after nearly two decades of collaboration in other bands.

Evol and Delourmel have played together in the coldgaze band Dead., active from the early 2020s with releases such as “Paradise”. In parallel, Delourmel has developed Giirls as a solo project rooted in synthwave, darkwave and shoegaze, issuing releases like “Time of Glass” in 2024.

Years Of Shame emerged publicly in 2025 introducing themselves as “Sadwave from France (Rennes & Paris)”, the same year they inked a deal with Icy Cold Records. The first single “Heat” appeared in November 2025 followed by “Trust”, both released digitally by the label.
