At the end of 2024, London-based band Nothingheads unveiled their debut album, featuring 10 powerful tracks. Drawing inspiration from the heaviest corners of Post-Punk, the group masterfully blends these influences with a dark, brooding interpretation of Garage-Punk/Rock. The music is aggressive and intense, but it also takes surprising turns into psychedelic territory, offering moments of eerie transcendence amidst the chaos. The passionate vocals, with a timbre reminiscent of The Cramps, amplify the album’s raw energy. About Nothingheads

Nothingheads is a London post-punk trio formed in 2020 by Rob Fairey (guitar, vocals), Matt Holt (bass) and Ed Simpson (guitar). The band debuted with the single “3000 Years in Showbusiness”, followed by the EP “Sunlit Uplands” in 2023 via Just Step Sideways Records, produced by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse. “The Art Of Sod” is the trio’s debut full-length, released through Sister 9 Recordings.

London-based garage post-punk band Nothingheads are set to release their debut album, “The Art of Sod”, on November 8th, 2024 through Sister9 Recordings. This follows their EP “Sunlit Uplands”.

The first single from the album is titled “Blindspot“, and you can check it out below. The band describes the track as “a reflection of the chaotic satisfaction of anger outbursts, a sonic embodiment of frustration and confusion.” The single was produced, mixed, and mastered by Wayne Adams.

The band consists of Rob Fairey (guitar/vocals), Matt Holt (bass/synths), Ed Simpson (guitar) and Chanter Whitehurst (drums). and was formed in 2021. Musically Nothingheads blend elements of dark post-punk and garage punk, drawing comparisons to Public Image Ltd, Oh Sees, and Girls in Synthesis.

Nothingheads, a post-punk band from London, have announced the release of their debut EP, “Sunlit Uplands”, scheduled for early June via Just Step Sideways Records. Ahead of the EP, the group will unveil their first single, “Rat,” on 21st April. This single follows last year’s release, “3000 Years in Showbusiness”.

Comprised of Rob Fairey (guitar, vocals), Matt Holt (bass), and Ed Simpson (guitar), Nothingheads formed in 2020. The trio recorded their EP under the production of Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse studios. Just Step Sideways Records will make the full EP available on a 10-inch format.

If you listen well, you can definitely hear a big PiL influence.

The band shared their thoughts on the accompanying music video: “The video delves into the life of a character consumed by conspiracy and paranoia, making frantic movements at every turn and attempting to connect non-existent dots, yet unable to piece everything together.”
