Darkwave and synth punk artist Night Ritualz has released a new single entitled “Piensa En Mí” via Metropolis Records. The track is available on digital platforms and is accompanied by an official music video.

Based in San Antonio, Texas, Night Ritualz is the project of Vincent Guerrero IV, who integrates bilingual lyrics and Latin cultural references into a soundscape blending darkwave, EBM, synthpunk, and post-punk influences. His cover of “Piensa En Mí” reinterprets the 1935 classic originally written by Agustín Lara and María Teresa Lara. The song was first popularised through its use in the 1948 film “Revancha”, and later gained renewed prominence when performed by Luz Casal in Pedro Almodóvar’s 1991 film “High Heels” (“Tacones Lejanos”).

Night Ritualz’s version transforms the nostalgic ballad into a contemporary synthwave composition. It follows the March 2025 release of his self-titled debut album “Night Ritualz”, which compiled earlier singles and new material.

Night Ritualz was founded by Vincent Guerrero IV in San Antonio, Texas. Initially influenced by artists such as Depeche Mode, Deftones, and At The Drive-In, Guerrero developed a hybrid sound he terms ‘fuck wave- a blend of darkwave, EBM, post-punk, and synthpunk.

Early singles led to the release of a self-titled debut album in March 2025, featuring both older and new tracks.

Guerrero’s lyrics shift fluidly between English and Spanish, expressing personal themes rooted in his Mexican heritage.

COP International will release the “Los Angeles – From The Ashes” charity compilation tomorrow. You can already pre-order it now for 10 USD. The release will only be available through Bandcamp.

The devastating fires in Los Angeles also destroyed “one of the most vibrant artist communities in the world” so COP International’s Christian says. “Many of our friends, collaborators, and fellow artists were displaced, with some losing everything. Among those deeply affected was Louise Fraser of Muricidae Music, a beloved COP International artist, who lost her home in the tragedy. In the face of this devastation, we knew we had to take action. This is our response: “Los Angeles – Out of Ashes”—a massive 75-track Bandcamp compilation, bringing together an extraordinary community of artists, labels, and supporters.”

All net income from the release will be donated directly to the American Red Cross, helping fire victims and aiding ongoing relief efforts. Since it’s Bandcamp Friday tomorrow, Bandcamp will waive its fee, ensuring that every dollar goes to those in need.

Out now is “Sharing Skin“, the newest single by the San Antonio-based darkwave/synth punk solo artist Night Ritualz. Released via Metropolis Records it’s a first taste of what to expect from the full length debut album out 7th March 2025.

Night Ritualz is the darkwave/synth punk solo artist Vincent Guerrero IV, who blends English and Spanish lyrics into his music. Having released a number of singles since 2023, these and several new songs will be included on a self-titled debut album to be released by Metropolis Records. He describes the record as “a time stamp in my music journey. The songs are all very different and I feel that it’s a good representation of myself and where I am at this point in my life.”

He describes his sound as ‘Fuck Wave’: “‘Fuck Wave’ is anything horny, erotic and sensual that just makes people feel good,” he explains. “I feel like my music puts people in that mood and allows them to just be themselves without judgement of any kind. Another reason is because, at the end of the day, ‘Fuck’ what everyone thinks. We only have one life, so spend it doing stuff you like and that makes you happy. I see it as an empowering term.”

The 12-track album will also feature Philadonna on the last track, “I Never Get What I Wanted”.
