Genre/Influences: Electro-pop, future-pop.

Background/Info: “Forever Homeward” is the second album of the Belgian electro formation United And Identified. The album has been released in 2018, which is four years after the debut opus “Moments Of Evolution”.

Content: The sound and influences remain pretty similar to the band’s debut. The songs have been injected by good-old future-pop elements and accomplished with a mix of electronics and guitar. There also is a mix between ‘harder’ and softer, melancholic songs. You also will notice a few instrumental cuts.

+ + + : If you’re into the good-old future-pop style, this album for sure has something to offer. The songs stands for melody and danceable vibes so I can say United And Identified perfectly know how to compose future-pop music. The guitar playing injects a more personal touch on top. Both last songs are worthy of examination.

– – – : Writing food songs is an essential point, but the mix and mastering are even more important. Both last points again are the main aspects that hurt when listening to United And Identified. The poorly and less professional production work (sound and vocals) ruins an important part of the content and that’s really a pity. This is the kind of band I can only advise to work with an experienced studio technician and producer and I’m sure the result will be totally different.

Conclusion: Some of the songs are cool, but the global production work is unacceptable!

Best songs: “Equilibrium”, “Last Stop”, “Aeflect”, “World Of Stars”.
