Genre/Influences: Minimal-Electro, Electro-Pop, EBM.

Format: Digital, CD.

Background/Info: Swedish duo Rickard Rosendahl – Paula Lé Boss have already self-released a few singles. “Unleashed” is an EP featuring three songs plus three remixes.

Content: The sound universe of Kunt is mixing different, related, electronic genres. There’s a strong Electro-Pop basis which has been empowered by EBM elements but still a minimal touch. The space-like, female, vocals inject an extra dimension to the songs while you’ll also notice male vocals. Remixes from previous singles have been accomplished by My Love Kills, Tukt and Cryo.

+ + + : The female vocals stand for rage and passion creating a cool addition to the open-minded electronic composition. Minimalism, Experimental, EBM and Electro-Pop have been mixed together. The band this way created an interesting work featuring late 90s sound treatments. “This Blood” is a really great song but I also have to mention a powerful and more EBM-driven remix of “Fcks Given” by My Love Kills and another Indie-Pop driven remix of “Sneaky Sins” by Tukt. The Tukt remix might appeal to fans of IAMX.

– – – : I don’t have real minus points to mention but I’m sure this band is even able to do better.

Conclusion: Kunt sounds as a refreshing and powerful Electronic formation we better can keep an eye on.

Best songs: “This Blood”, “With Craft”, “Fcks Given – Hypnotic Remix by My Love Kills”.

Rate: 8.

Artist: https://kunt.band / www.facebook.com/KUNT.MUSIK

About Kunt

Kunt is a southern Swedish duo of Rickard Rosendahl and Paula Le Boss. According to the band’s own Bandcamp profile, Kunt “creates an alternative hybrid of melodic Electropop, pulse-raising EBM and Punk attitude” and has “quickly become a well-known band within Scandinavia’s alternative electronic scene.” The “Unleashed” EP follows a run of self-released singles and gathers three original songs with three remixes from My Love Kills, Tukt and Cryo.

Genre/Influences: EBM, industrial.

Format: Digital, CD.

Background/Info: Tukt is a Swedish electro project based in Stockholm. Tukt deliberately chose to do everything on their own like a pure DIY band.

Content: I didn’t know what to expect about Tukt, but discovered a powerful electronic outburst mixing heavy EBM and industrial/crossover music. While the opening song is total fury with enraged vocals we next get a solid EBM bass line with dark sound on top. Tukt is constantly moving in between their different sources of inspiration, but in the end this work will mainly appeal to tough EBM lovers. It sounds a bit like the imaginary hybrid between NIN and Nitzer Ebb.

+ + + : Tukt is dealing with a personalized format of EBM. You for sure will recognize some influences you might link to other bands, but in the end the work has something apart. And that’s because of the furious industrial implant, which is totally insane and violent. My favorite songs is the elaborated EBM cut “No Sense Of Decency” and “The Fuck I Give” carried by a solid chorus.

– – – : I think there can be a bit more cohesion between the different influences running through this album. You sometimes get the impression there are two formations in one.

Conclusion: Tukt stands for a violent interpretation of EBM and I like this merciless and shameless approach.

Best songs: “No Sense Of Decency”, “The Fuck I Give”, “Sodom”, “Affliction”.

Rate: (7½).
