New dark electro-pop artist THEA (aka Teodora Pindaru) announced a debut single, “Ghost in the Machine“, with a videotoday June 25, 2026. A streaming release is expected on July 2, 2026. The THEA “Ghost in the Machine” single was produced and managed by the Tomato Music Lab project and offers a cinematic dark/electro-pop track.

“Ghost in the Machine” deals with the boundary between technological alienation and human vulnerability. THEA adds: ““Ghost in the Machine” is a track that presents itself as an unsatisfactory answer to the question “Who am I?”. When the question “Who am I?” arises in the mind, the track offers a series of assumptions, hasty concepts, and false myths characteristic of a mind new to the art of introspection. Driven by fear and ignorance, the person moves within themselves to search for themselves, but there is no light, no instructions, and no guide. The person observes certain repetitive mental behaviors, seeks control, experiences torment and frustration, to the point of questioning their own existence.”

THEA is the musical project of Teodora Pindaru, an artist and singer from Transylvania, Romania. Her work touches the region’s geography, history, and post-regime transition period.

Her music combines dark pop and experimental electronic elements. The project is built around a collaboration with Tomato Music Lab, which develops the production and electronic sound design.
