Canadian netlabel Panospria released “I-II-III”, the debut album under the Silver Shadow name, on 15 July 2026. It runs to 26 tracks across three volumes gathered into a single digital set, sold in MP3 and FLAC from 15 Canadian dollars, and it moves between IDM, ambient, drone and minimal techno.

The release page presents the album as three distinct volumes compiled into one, and as the latest work of a long-standing name on the label. It never prints that name:

“Having recently relocated to France from Canada, keen listeners will surely deduce the identity of this mainstay on our label. New country, new alias, new directions in music.”

The label’s own announcement is less coy than the release page. It presents Silver Shadow as the new alias of the artist formerly recording as Silent Q and Gyges. Both of those names belong to Paul Keeley, a Montreal electronic producer whose Gyges album “Composite Massive” was Panospria’s second release in 2004 and who has issued deep and progressive house under his own name through Thinner, Epsilonlab and Anjunadeep. The Silver Shadow Bandcamp page gives the artist’s location as Paris.

What is on the Silver Shadow album ‘I-II-III’

The three volumes are not new to the same degree. Volume I is the eight-track album “I”, put on Bandcamp on 26 July 2022, and volume II is the ten-track “II” from 22 November 2024; the remaining eight tracks, from “Delores” to “Matte”, appear here for the first time.

II by Silver Shadow

Track titles run as compressed fragments throughout: “Aieesqvb96”, “nFU-VHToT”, “HshShsHs”, “HpnoTod”, “Grgwld”, “Dickenszs”. In order the album reads Aieesqvb96, Fulter, Plyurs, nFU-VHToT, Crunge, Duke, Spong, Purf, Ghosnen, AmbWks, Mmoonn, TheLab, Pull, HshShsHs, HpnoTod, Unstld, Grgwld, Roogah, Delores, KiBC8, NewWav, Sheets, Dickenszs, Krud, Thumb and Matte.

About Silver Shadow and Panospria

Silver Shadow first appeared on Bandcamp on 3 April 2020 with the five-track “A”, followed by “I” in 2022 and “II” in 2024, so the Panospria set is a label debut rather than a first release under the alias. Panospria itself grew out of the Canadian prairies around the turn of the millennium and put out its first offering, the “Alphaform” compilation, in 2002 with Dublin’s Psychonavigation. The label was properly established in Montreal that same year and was among the earliest to treat the MP3 as a release format in its own right.

It moved with its operators, running from Montreal until 2008, then Vancouver, then Saskatoon from 2022. Alongside the catalogue it ran two concert series: Textures in Montreal and Quiet City in Vancouver, the latter reaching 70 editions over a decade. In 2007 the Panospria catalogue was folded into the Montreal netlabel No Type, which has been active since 1998 and also runs Annexe, BricoLodge, Nishi and Sine Fiction; Panospria has operated as a No Type sublabel since.

Paul Keeley’s connection to the label goes back almost to the start. The Gyges record “Composite Massive” carried the second catalogue number in 2004, and he has since appeared on Panospria releases by Heart & Soul, Shoebomber, Arnau Sala and N4K3D D1G1TS. “I-II-III” is the first Silver Shadow release Panospria has issued, and by the label’s account the first since the move from Canada to France.
