Out now via the Oklahoma City-based label Re:Mission Entertainment is “Incompatible”, a brand new single / video by the Los Angeles-based industrial metal act Fact Pattern.

The track is about unhealthy coping mechanisms in the form of religion and other spiritual practices. The band adds: “Written from a place of frustration and a desire to make people face hard truths, the intent here is simply to state that your beliefs are just beliefs. And they are incompatible with every natural law of the known universe.”

Fact Pattern are Ian Flux, Jack Lowd and Corey Hirsch. The single was written by Ian Flux, produced by Fact Pattern and mixed by Ian Flux with mastering by Jeff Mortimer. The artwork was created by Sam Franco.

About Fact Pattern

Fact Pattern is a Los Angeles-based industrial metal band formed in the early 2010s by Ian Flux. The band has undergone several iterations, evolving into a solid trio that includes Flux (vocals, guitars, keys, programming), Jack Lowd (bass, vocals), and Corey Hirsch (drums). Their music blends influences from bands like Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, and Type O Negative, featuring heavy guitars, rhythmic drumming, and metallic samples.

The band debuted with their 2017 EP “Structures” and followed up with their first full-length album, “Fallen Language”, in 2019.

Out via the Oklahoma City based label Re:Mission Entertainment is the all new Bara Hari album “Lesser Gods”, the label debut for this Los Angeles-based darkpop, synthrock project.

The 10-track album was entirely written by Bara Har aka Sam Franco. “Lesser Gods” features the singles “Tempest”, “Violence Rising”, “House of the Devil” and “Agoraphobic”. Stylistically the album blends dark pop-rock and trip hop in one.

Also included on the release are guest performances by Anna Portillo on harp, Corey Hirsch on drums, and Ian Flux on guitar and bass. Additional production was delivered by Ian Flux who also took care of the mixing while Jeff Mortimer took care of the mastering.

The album is available via Bandcamp as a download album and as a limited edition vinyl (200 copies in pitch black or sky blue).

The new Bara Hari single “Violence Rising” is out now via Re:Mission Entertainment.And today we can also present you the video made for the occasion. This is the second video and single from the forthcoming Bara Hari full length, “Lesser Gods”.

Bara Hari explains the video: “‘Violence Rising’ tells the tale of someone who’s coming to terms with the fact that their self-proclaimed righteousness may actually be just as biased as the views of the opposer. Visually inspired by fairy tales and Renaissance art, ‘Violence Rising’ is a cinematic portrayal of a virtuous queen who falls from grace, meets her demise and is transformed into the wolf she so feared.”

Bara Hari is the solo project of multidisciplinary artist Sam Franco. Franco writes, records, and produces herself out of her studio in Los Angeles. Franco’s take on dark pop brings here close to the style mixing Florence + the Machine, iamamiwhoami, Marina, and Garbage.

The first video and single from the forthcoming Bara Hari full length album, “Lesser Gods”, is out now. “Tempest” is a fast paced dark pop pearl that has everything to become a true ear worm.

Lyrically the song confronts the internal and external struggles of feeling at odds with individuals that were once considered to be friends. Visually inspired by fantasy and vaudeville, “Tempest” is a cinematic portrait of identity, reconciliation, and a determination to push forward when people fade from our lives.

“Artificial” is the name of the brand new video by dark pop artist Bara Hari. It is inspired by the loss of friendships with people that have fallen victim to the vanity of the Hollywood dream. The song was featured on the EP “Dark New Day” which was released on May 21st, 2021 through Re:Mission Entertainment.

The music video for “Artificial” was inspired by the theater scene in David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive. Bara Hari: “That film so perfectly depicts the surreal experience of seeking stardom in Los Angeles. A dream that so many strive for that ultimately eats them alive and makes them lose all sense of humanity as well as their ability to maintain healthy interpersonal relationships. I wanted to portray that sentiment through the lens of my own experience in the burlesque scene.”

Sam Franco, known professionally as Bara Hari, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, producer, music video director/editor, costumer, and visual artist. Her music is inspired by a plethora of styles such as dark pop, synth-pop, industrial, techno, electro-pop, darkwave, and goth.

Dark Pop artist Bara Hari (aka American musician Sam Franco) has announced the release of her new EP “Dark New Day”.

Bara Hari started writing “Dark New Day” in April of 2020 armed with a computer and a midi controller shoved in the corner of her kitchen. Bara Hari explains: “”Dark New Day” deals with sexual assault, and its aftermath, and with the loss of friendship, and wanting to watch the world burn. The connecting thread was the deep disappointment felt towards humanity. In searching for ways to deal with this I found solace in sitting down to write “Dark New Day”, which helped cope with it all and let it go.”

The album is produced and written by Bara Hari, with input from her engineer Ian Flux of Monican Audio. Ian also contributed all of the guitar work that you hear in the track “No Hope”. “Dark New Day” is out now on Re:mission Entertainment. The music video for “Ugly on the Inside” off the new release can be seen below.

Dark pop act Bara Hari has announced the release of her new music video “Weapon”.

“Weapon” is inspired by her many experiences with psychological and physical abuse at the hands of men in positions of power, predominantly in the music industry. The song serves as an anthem for women that are fed up with the way that they are treated by exploitative men.

The music video for “Weapon” was inspired by the Kill Bill movie franchise. A big fan of movies, Bara Hari adored how the protagonist is portrayed in the films. Not as the usual damsel in distress, but as a woman who takes care of business and exacts her revenge of those who wronged her. The costumes in “Weapon” were designed by Bara Hari and are reminiscent of the movie characters Bellatrix and Gogo.
