The San Diego-based darkwave/industrial trio Matte Blvck has released the single “Soulless,” issued by Breathing Records as part of the label compilation “Inhale Vol. I.” The compilation is due digitally on November 14, 2025, with vinyl edition (with artist booklet) shipping in December 2025. The song follows the group’s 2025 album “Vows.”

“Soulless” is presented by the band as a track about finding oneself after disillusionment. “Faith freed from illusion, light reborn in darkness, a soul remembering its source,” as vocalist/producer Alex Gonzales puts it.

Inhale Vol. I is a 10-track LP featuring 10 artists active in the avant-garde, underground, industrial, and dark electronic music scene. For this limited run, the LP has been pressed onto dark cherry 140g vinyl by A-Z Media in Portland, OR. You’ll also receive a high quality artist booklet inside the gatefold jacket. 

About Matte Blvck

Matte Blvck are a San Diego, California trio consisting of Alex Gonzales, Daniel Corrales, and Bidi Cobra. The group began working on their own material in 2019, issuing their debut album “I’m Waving, Not Drowning” in November 2020 (self-released, later pressed on vinyl).

A remix set followed in 2022. Their second album, “Vows,” arrived in 2025.

The LatinX San Diego based industrial/darkwave trio Matte Blvck will have a new single out on May 31st, “Pupula Duplex”. In this track Matte Blvck draws inspiration from the 90s’ big beat’ era acts like The Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, and The Prodigy updated with a modern, aggressive production.

The song is off of their upcoming album “Vows”. “Vows” is about the trio’s continuing creatively despite inner band turmoil and personal hardships including member health issues and loss of loved ones while keeping their friendship of 27 years as a band intact.

Matte Blvck collaborated with a 3-piece production team alongside Aaron Short and Matt Mcjunkins on various occasions throughout the album.

The Los Angeles based dark electronic pop duo BlakLight, Brian Belknap (Mind Machine) and Adam Collier (Crush333, Full Frontal Disco and MDA), have released the first single from their forthcoming double remix album, “Out Of The Void – The Remixes”. “Waiting” in a Solar Fake Remix is available right here from Bandcamp.

“Waiting”, originally from the band’s second album, “Into The Void”, is remixed here by Solar Fake’s Sven Friedrich, and includes a bonus instrumental version exclusively on Bandcamp.

Also released today is a new, exclusive track, “Wicked Face”, taken from the forthcoming “Generation Blitz 2: Concrete and Chrome” compilation.

In further news the band makes their live debut on March 18th 2022, joining Matte Blvck and Vain Machine, presented by Luna Negra at Bart Lounge in Cathedral City, CA, followed by an appearance at Bar Sinister in Hollywood, CA and at the inaugural Darkness Calling Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Post-Punk/Darkwave artists Twin Tribes are back with a remix album. “Altars” is the follow-up to their sophomore album “Ceremony” and features a myriad of artists from the post-punk, darkwave scene remixing songs off Twin Tribes’ debut album “Shadows and Ceremony”.

Altars features remixes from She Past Away, Ash Code, Bootblacks, Wingtips and more and can be pore-ordered now.

“Altars” will be released April 9th through Negative Gain (North America), Manic Depression Records (France), and Young & Cold Records (Germany) on CD, Vinyl, and digitally.

About Twin Tribes

Twin Tribes is a Dark Synth / Post Punk duo based in Brownsville, Texas. Formed by Luis Navarro (vocals, guitar, synth, drum machines) and Joel Niño, Jr. (bass, synth, vocals) in 2017.

The band gathers their influences from the period of the dark 80’s. Dark Wave, Post-Punk and Cold Wave are genres that the band summon using analog synthesizers and drum machines. Dark melodic sounds, lyrics of the undead, the occult and parallel universes are what conjure Twin Tribes.
