Kiss Is Kill is an American solo-project driven by a certain James Chapple. He invited several guests to achieve this work; among them Seb Komor (Komor Kommando, Icon Of Coil and others). The opening songs bring a hard mix of Electro and guitar and may convince some KMFDM fans. Gradually the guitar parts start to sound duller and it all became more Industrial. I especially keep in mind  some strong opening songs. (Rate:7).

About Kiss Is Kill

Kiss Is Kill is the solo industrial rock project of Seattle-based producer James Chapple, who also composes music for animated television shows including “PAW Patrol” and “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” under his own name. The project takes its name from a line in the Canadian film “Pontypool”.

Kiss Is Kill debuted with the album “Imposter Syndrome” on December 5, 2014, followed by “Progress” on January 31, 2020, and the single “100%” on July 4, 2020. The full-length “Anatomy Of Fear”, featuring the track “How Can I Let You Know?” and guest contributions from Seb Komor, followed on March 15, 2024.

The industrial rock project Kiss Is Kill (the solo project of James Chapple) is back with a new full-length album, “Anatomy Of Fear”.

Here’s what James Chapple says about the new album: “‘Anatomy Of Fear’ presents a highly introspective view looking back during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The last few years have been difficult for us all: a global pandemic, lockdowns, riots and political unrest. We’ve all lost so much. For many, it was a time of great fear: fear of getting sick, fear of failing relationships and a fear of the world our children might grow up in; also fear of the growing hatred and division. The album is about the unknown and the unknown breeds fear.”

And he adds: “This album was a chance for me to analyze all my fears, reflect on them, and try to grow beyond them. The songs are, as usual for me, deeply personal. Reflections of love, death, loss and grief populate this collection of my anxieties made into song. All of my fears were charted so that I might understand and master them. This is my anatomy of fear.”

The 52nd track on our free download compilation “Face The Beat: Session 4” (featuring 92 tracks) is by the Canadian act nTTx.

Stealing elements of EBM, synthpop and industrial, nTTx completes this sonic landscape with strong, melodic vocals, that range from soft and delicate, to powerful and in your face. nTTx is the new solo project of Gord Clement (Toronto,Canada) who was the former singer/songwriter for the band Atomzero.

nTTx’s first single, “Falls Beautiful” with a b-side Depeche Mode cover was released independently in May 2015. The single spent 4 weeks in the top 15 on the German Electronic Webcharts (GEWC) and received some great feedback. This lead to being signed to WTII Records and the release of his debut EP “Objective” in April 2016. The EP features remixes by Caustic, Stars Crusaders and Kiss is Kill.
