<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Genre/Influences: </strong>Electro-pop,
electro-wave. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="alignleft"><img decoding="async" src="https://www.side-line.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Gary-Flanagan-620x420.jpg" alt=""/></figure></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Format: </strong>Digital.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Background/Info: </strong>Canadian synth-pop
artist Gary Flanagan started composing his music in 1999. You might have heard
him on a compilation or one of his numerous albums released by labels such as
Ninthwave. “Son Of Parkway” was originally released by the end of 2018 and is the
thirteenth full length album by the artist. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Content: </strong>Gary Flanagan
composes electro-pop music in the purest sense of the meaning. It’s not a flash
back to the roots, but simply a sound that has been always inspired by the
good-old retro analogue magic from the 80s. The songs are melodic, sometimes
carried by a solid bass line (which even reminds me of Fad Gadget) and sung by
the artist’s fragile timbre of voice. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>+ + +&nbsp;: </strong>This work stands
for sweet, vintage electro-pop music. It’s an easy listening voyage revealing
captivating sound treatments and cool melody lines. I’m not familiar with the
entire discography of Gary Flanagan, but I have to admit this album belongs to
the best works I’ve ever heard. Songs such as “Sunny Mornings In Montreal”,
“Don’t Stop”, “A Night Story” and “We Keep Pushing On” are great exposures from
the artist’s skills. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>&#8211; &#8211; &#8211;&nbsp;: </strong>I think the
production of the vocals could be just a little bit more passionate.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Conclusion: </strong>This is an album
that has the power to gladden our hearts!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Best songs: </strong>“A Night Story, “We
Keep Pushing On”, “Sunny Mornings In Montreal”, “Don’t Stop”.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Rate: </strong>(7½). </p>
