This new project was founded by two trusted artists from the Winter-Light label. Maurizio Landini (Onasander, Les Anges Morts) and Daniel Ferreira (Kloob) have already released three remarkable albums as Kloob–Onasander, but now they appear to be continuing under a completely new, merged identity.

The work seems inspired by the concept of reincarnation and confronts us with eight tracks that draw the listener into an extremely obscure world. The atmosphere the two artists create is profoundly dark, even sinister. The humming soundwaves run incredibly deep and quickly evoke a sense of unease—an oppressive, anxious feeling that seems to gnaw at the listener. Strangely enough, this is precisely the mark of a high-quality release within the genre. The ambience becomes increasingly hostile, luring us into a boundless sonic labyrinth where an array of sounds and effects is unleashed without restraint. The final tracks even reach an unprecedented climax, propelled by overwhelming, thunderous layers. The result is an extreme form of dark ambient that will certainly resonate with genre enthusiasts.

About Ethnea Nekrōn

Ethnea Nekrōn is a project on the Winter-Light label, formed by Italian musician Maurizio Landini, known as Onasander and for Les Anges Morts, together with Daniel Ferreira of Kloob. The two had already collaborated on three albums as Kloob-Onasander before continuing under this merged name.

Their debut as Ethnea Nekrōn, “Exo-Metempsychosis”, was released on September 19, 2025 through Winter-Light. It runs to eight tracks of dark ambient built around the idea of reincarnation in distant worlds and galaxies, mastered by Ronald Mariën of Stratosphere with cover artwork and design by Abby Helasdottir.
