Piston Damp is a Norwegian-Danish synthpop duo formed by Jonas Groth and Truls Sønsterud. Jonas Groth is the brother of Stephan Groth, the frontman of Apoptygma Berzerk, and has been heavily involved in the music scene for over two decades. Piston Damp started as a side project while Apoptygma Berzerk was on tour, but it remained largely dormant until 2020, when the duo decided to relaunch the project.

Their music blends elements of classic synthpop with strong melodies and emotionally charged lyrics. Their debut album, Making the World Great Again (2021), includes standout singles like “Runaway” and “Something In Me”. The duo is praised for its catchy hooks, reminiscent of bands like Mesh, and their modern take on electronic music.

Piston Damp has released several singles, including remixes by electronic artists such as Pegboard Nerds and Technomancer. Their music often incorporates media samples, giving it a unique tone that resonates with synthpop fans.

The French band Krieg-B, consisting of Dominique Lallement (Kriegbereit, Cobalt 60, K Bereit) and The Belgian Benoît Buyse aka Dreadfool (Anamorphosis, Nihiliste), formed in June 2023. The duo brings music which is a mixture of all what has been done over the last 30 years in industrial electronic music, darkwave and ebm.

The German label emmobiz Records is back with yet another Calva Y Nada reissue. This time it’s the album “Dias Felizes” which is also available in a special edition, limited to just 77 pieces. The set includes an exclusive bronze Calva coin with a printed velvet pouch, a T-shirt, a poster, and of course, the Picture LP.

“Días Felizes” was originally released in 1991. While the title translates to “Happy Days” in Spanish, the music itself contrasts with the title, exploring darker and dystopian themes. The album is seen as a defining work in the German electro scene, contributing to the band’s cult status within the genre. It mixes elements of darkwave, industrial, and electronic body music (EBM), producing a sound that’s moody, atmospheric, and rhythmic. Tracks often contain politically charged and introspective lyrics in both German and Spanish.

Some standout tracks include “Schwarze Liebe” and “Der Sturm”, which are fan favorites. Overall, the album is considered one of the key releases in early 90s dark electro music, appealing to fans of darker electronic and gothic sounds.

Emmobiz Records kicks off a vinyl re-release of all Tyske Ludder albums starting November 1, 2024, with their iconic 1994 album, “Bomb the Murders”. The debut album will be available as a limited edition of 222 yellow vinyl copies, you can pre-order your copy right now.

The German electronic body music band Tyske Ludder was originally formed in 1989 in Lower Saxony, Germany by Claus Albers and Olaf A. Reimers. The band’s name controversially translates to “German whores” in Danish and Norwegian. The band experienced a period of inactivity around the turn of the millennium due to internal disagreements. However, they re-emerged in 2004 and have continued to produce new material and perform live since then. Their discography includes several influential albums such as “Bombt die Mörder?” (1994) and “Sojus” (2006), along with more recent releases like “Kaputt” (2021) and “Transformation” (2022).

After years of silence, emmobiz Records returns with its first release: the reissue of the Calva Y Nada debut album, “El Peste Perverso Lleva Mi Peluca”. This release comes in two versions: a vinyl picture disc limited to 500 copies and a box set limited to 77 copies. It is set to hit stores on July 10th, and pre-orders are now available at emmobiz Records.

Regarding the label’s resurrection, Jörg Freier states, “If you love and live music, there are always incentives to re-release things. I was always in constant contact with various bands… When Calva Y Nada finally agreed to play the sold-out 16th Elektrisch Festival, the decision was made to resurrect the label.”

This reissue is part of a series of re-releases of all records from the German cult band Calva Y Nada. All reissues feature new artwork and are numbered.

The third act will be Amnistia and the fourth the oldschool heroes from Steril.

Between the co-headliners and the headlining gig of Agrezzior, a special midnight-act named Das_dreckige_dutzenD is planned and will be a big surprise for the audience. After this, Agrezzior from Sweden will be finishing the live part of the evening and then you will have more time to drink and dance at an EBM-Aftershowparty.
