Out now is an Assemblage 23 remix of the Elezoria track “Temporary”. “Temporary” is taken from the project’s second album, “Apart”.

Behind the synthpop/darkwave project Elezoria we find Dmitry Nordman. Initially, Elezoria was created as a field for experiments with gothic electronic sound. Gradually a new style of the band was formed, combining synthpop, darkwave and EBM elements with a noticeable influence of the European dark-synth wave of 90s.

The single holds two tracks, the Assemblage 23 remix and an instrumental version of that remix.

Out now via SkyQode is “Embryogenesis”, a new EP release by the electronic rock artist, Enhok.

The digital version of “Embryogenesis” consists of six tracks including the previously released singles. The whole EP is a perfect demonstration of Enhok’s sound fusing elements of rock and dark electronica.

The CD version of “Embryogenesis”, limited to only 150 copies, comes in a slick 6-panel digipak with lyrics. It also features five remixes by Elezoria, Last Activity, Purple Fog Side, Requiem4FM and Synthetische Lebensform.

Enhok was founded by the Venezuelan artist Diego Gutierrez currently based in Barcelona, Spain.

Out now is “Desolation”, a brand new single by the Russian darkwave/synth-goth project Elezoria which has been covered several times already on Side-Line. “Desolation” is the third single taken from Elezoria’s upcoming sophomore album and blends darkwave and synth-goth music with somber lyrics and deep gloomy vocals.

In addition to the title track, the single features its instrumental version and a special version of “Rain Washes Away” from their debut album.

Elezoria was formed by Dmitry Nordman in 2008 and released several singles and of course their debut album “Astray”. Elezoria should appeal to fans of bands like Diary Of Dreams, Diorama, Blutengel and the like.

Out now is Enhok’s newest single “The Night” which follows “Black Waters” and “Gone”, both were released in 2020. The single showcases yet another facet of Enhok’s sound by delivering a nostalgic dark ’80s vibe with pulsing beats and catchy synth-laden melodies. The vocals are quite reminiscent of those of Iris’ frontman Reagan Jones and at least as attractive.

The title track is accompanied by a rather fine club remix from Enhok’s label mate, the Russian darkwave act Elezoria.

Enhok was originally founded by Diego Gutierrez, a Venezuelan musician, singer and producer, currently based in Spain. If you want some decent electropop, then this is a band to check out for sure. The single can be streamed/downloaded now, check here for all the links.

Out now is “Breeze Of Innocence”, a brand new single by the Russian darkwave/synth-goth project Elezoria, and the follow-up to last year’s “Temporary” single.

“Breeze Of Innocence” brings a blend of melancholic darkwave with elements of coldwave and post-punk. Add to that Elezoria’s trademark somber introspective lyrics and dark deep vocals. In addition, the single also features a previously unreleased instrumental track “Infinity’s Embrace” as well as a remix by RedLine.

Elezoria was started by Dmitry Nordman in 2008 but it was only in 2016 when a first single was release, “Rain Washes Away”. The year after that they released the album “Astray” and the single “You Can See”. Only a year after that, in 2018, Elezoria released the single “Alone” and the album “Glade”, the latter was the first not self-released material as it was distributed via ScentAir Records.

Last year the band inked a deal with SkyQode and released the single “Temporary”, now followed by “Breeze Of Innocence” for which the video can be seen below.

Out via SkyQode is the newest Unitcode:Machine single “Instigator”. The new single by this very enjoyable EBM / industrial act is taken from the band’s latest album “Tyranny” showcasing the band’s distinctive blend of EBM and industrial .

In addition to the title track, the single features remixes by Freaky Mind, Elezoria, and Invisible Devastation. This single should please fans of Imperative Reaction, Absurd Minds, Decoded Feedback and the like.

Unitcode:Machine is a US-based band which was formed in 2000 by Eric K.. Their first official release landed in 2004 and mixed multiple genres like EBM, industrial, synthpop, and many others.

Elezoria was started by Dmitry Nordman in 2008. After several releases over the past few years, including the very well received debut album “Astray”, the band has mastered its own kind of dark music by blending darkwave and synth-goth influences with elements of synthpop and EBM. Coupled with somber lyrics and Dmitry’s deep gloomy vocals, you get a a dark melancholic project that will appeal to fans of bands like Diary Of Dreams, Diorama and the like.

In addition to the title track, the single features an instrumental version and a dance remix by Expiring Time, as well as a special version of “Ceiling And Walls” from the band’s debut album.

Genre/Influences: Electro-pop, dark wave-pop.

Background/Info: Set up in 2008 by Dmitry Nordman, Russian project Elezoria was originally meant to deal with gothic- and related music genres. Throughout the years the band explored other music paths, leading then to compose electro-pop music. “Astray” is the official debut album by Elezoria.

Content: Elezoria clearly deals with electro-pop music, which however is accentuated by darker- and melancholic passages. It creates a wafting sensation. Another important and maybe main element of the work is the particular timbre of voice of the singer. He sings in a sensual way, but his voice is characterized by sadness and often reminds me of Adrian Hates (Diary Of Dreams). You can feel the pain and despair emerging from the vocals, which perfectly fits with the melancholia of the music.

Dmitry Nordman is taking care of all aspects of the production although he invited a female guest singer for one of the songs, which reflects the same degree of melancholia.

+ + + : I already talked about the vocals, but they definitely are very important in the global production process creating a real emotive touch to the songs. At the other side the way of singing also has something sensual. The melancholia of the music and Dmitry’s way of singing create a nice and complementary aspect. The songs are well-crafted and revealing numerous little details in the arrangements. “Astray” also reveals dry, danceable kicks, which makes that the songs never fall down in monotony.

– – – : The tracks however sound a bit similar. The sound approach is quite interesting and creating a great match with the vocals, but there is less diversity while no real potential club songs.

Conclusion: “Astra” is not a traditional electro-pop work and yet it features familiar pop ingredients. The main strength of this album is the way it all has been worked out and the emotive content that comes through.

Best songs: “Motion”, “Frozen Tears Of Sorrow”, “Farewell”, “You Can See”, “I’ve Lost My Road Home”, “One Careless Word”.
