Yesterday we posted about the Doc’n Roll Film Festival in Dublin, but there is also a UK edition (the 12th one) from 23 October to 9 November 2025 with a slightly different screening program. This edition of the Doc’n Roll Film Festival will present 21 feature films and eight shorts across London and regional venues. Screenings include the Barbican, BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX, Rio Cinema, ICA, Garden Cinema, Century Club and others. The program in total features 7 world premieres, 12 UK premieres and 2 London premieres.

Coil – A Way to Die: The Short-Films of Coil, Q&A screenings at Rio Cinema (24 Oct), ICA (30 Oct), plus Brighton (25 Oct) and Dublin Irish premiere (19 Oct).

Meredith Monk – Monk in Pieces, 1 Nov, Barbican Cinema 2; the film premiered at Berlinale 2025.

Butthole Surfers – The Hole Truth and Nothing Butt, 28 Oct, Rio Cinema and 7 Nov, Castle Cinema listings within the festival slate; official trailer available.

Doc’n Roll Film Festival returns to Dublin for its third edition at Light House Cinema (get your tickets here) from October 18 to November 20, 2025, presenting Irish premieres of music documentaries on Butthole Surfers, Coil, Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Meredith Monk. The Dublin dates are part of Doc’n Roll’s 12th festival edition across the UK & Ireland.
